I love ama cafe and so I thought of giving ama resturant a try and as per my expectation it didn’t dissappoint. The all over ambience was pretty nice, the decor and the whole atmosphere had a tibetan vibe to it. Coming to food I ordered momos, chilly paneer and noodles, everything was good and complemented the price where as I loved their momos. ❤️

We went all the way to Majnu ka tilla from Gurgaon because we love momos and even though we loved the veg Thukpa we were bit Disappointed with the momos. Well just to be clear, its not that they were not good bit not as good as expected and not up to the fame they have all over Delhi. Specifically, the dough is a bit too tick and very little salty so that you must have some dip otherwise they are too bland. The bill was very cheap and we paid just 250 rs per person.
Great experience.Loved the ambience & crowd here.Overall rating 9/10
I ordered mafu tofu chicken with tingmo and my friend got fried gyuma (sausages). The taste was okay/average, the gravy would have tasted better, had there been little less oil in it. The staff were very courteous but unfortunately they didn’t have much knowledge of the dishes on their menu. So, as we ordered the dish with little to no help of the staff, I thought the ‘mafu tofu chicken’ would have more chicken and less tofu as it was under ‘chicken’ category, but it came out to be the vice-versa. It looked like a tofu dish entirely, as there were very small bits of chicken pieces in it. Had we been a bit better informed, the experience could have been much better. Nevertheless, the ambience was good. The restaurant was a bit packed as it was lunch time (even though a Monday).
On a friend’s recommendation I decided to give this place a try. The ambience is very calm and soothing. We ordered Veg steam momos, chilly garlic noodles, mix veggies in hot garlic sauce, tingmo along with soft drinks and fruit beer. The tingmo was super soft and delicious. The momos has a generous filling of veggies and were definitely worth trying and the mix veggie bowl had celery, spinach and other green veggies which was good too. The chilly garlic noodles were not that spicy as I expected them to be, so I simply asked and add spicy chutney to it. As the restaurant was almost packed, the service was really slow and we had to wait to get a table but the food is totally worth waiting for. Also, quick service and good portion size would be appreciated for the next time. 🙂
You will have to be open to experiments while coming here, the taste of what they serve is completely authentic!Prices here are quite decent as compared to other restaurants serving asian crusine in the city.We ordered – apple bear -5/5Ama special thupka- 4/5Veg steamed momos -4/5Tingmo breadIf you’re around, give it a try!
