Came to Hot Yak to try the Chinese Hot Pot, it was a great experience and loved the hot pot. You can choose the varieties of meat, noodles and vegetables of your choice and customize accordingly, including the broth. It is better if you have it with a group of friends.
Ambience was good. Staff are friendly. Food was good. Love those chicken momos. We order chilly potatoes and chicken chow too. It was good. Overall experience was dine.
I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago . My experience wasn’t nice. I had Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Thukpa along with Tu Duo si(Chinese sweet and sour shredded potato) and rice .Now lemme be very honest , I’ve stayed in China for 6 years and the sole reason why i decided to go there was that because I saw these dishes on their menu online.And I think they’ve got the food completely wrong .Kung Pao ji rou didn’t have the signature fried peanuts in it and the meat was simply put,bad. Beef Thukpa was below average and Tu duo si tasted smoky and disappointing.I know I’m being very specific on a few things but those dishes were my favorite when I was staying in China .And going by my experience I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who have tasted authentic Chinese food. I’m sorry if I’m being too harsh but what needs to be said has to be said.
These are the photos of the food from the new hot pot restaurant and since it is a branch of hot yak itself, I’ve uploaded the pictures here.You should definitely try it out. Those who enjoy food from hot yak will definitely love the food especially the paotse and pork ribs are my favourite. I had a good experience with the food there and I loved the ambience of the restaurant as well. And the owner is very friendly.
Only authentic Tibetan food lovers will like this place . it’s not the typical Indian based Tibetan food where people in general will expect spicy food . the usual things to try are – momos , noodles , thupka , shaptra , tingmo.
Chinese doesn’t mean soya sauce..they put a lot of soya sauce in all of their dishes!! Plus the service is really poor and the location is very bad!
Great food at very reasonable price specially in MT. Trout fish was great, cold salads are a must try section. Not to mention the tingmo which has a very nice aroma and fresh. Must visit for authentic Chinese cuisines.. ❤️❤️❤️
