The F&B operations team and kitchen team always keep innovating to give the guests something new something different which they would love to try out. This what the team #ErosHotelNewDelhi has done to give guests a homly feel by offering Ghar ki Chai with tea time snacks which we generally try at home yet with some innovations with their creative minds. On their Tea lounge they are doing this CDP – a month long promotion, where alongwith your favourite Ghar ki Chai they have a variety of Green and black teas to choose from. Also on the special menu are some other hot and cold beverages and some nice snacks.A platter of tea comes with cookies and is impressive to look at but I personally like my tea with just one spoon of milk so opted for a separate Darjeeling tea.Jamun thanda is refreshing drink which is a combination of blue berries extract n green tea.Aloo Matar Samosa was perfect with crisp cover n right stuffing which is rare to find as samosa is such a common snack but very few make it so perfect. It was presented very nicely with namakpara made into a ring and samosa kept inside.Bhujia ki bhel again had excellent presentation in a papad cone. Jalebi ki chaat was another great innovation with jalebi without sugar syrup was presented with Chutneys. CDP snack platter had Mirchi pakoras with stuffing, paneer pakoras, bread rolls and onion pakoras with green chutney.Star of the CDP was bun maska. Never had such a soft sweet fluffy n tasty bun accompanied with cream, maple syrup and berries jam but you actually don’t need any of these as bun was so delicious with a buttery flavour. Would love to have it with evening tea anyways. As had buns from best of bakeries all over but no match to this one.Coffee Batida is another good mildly hot beverage for those who like a bit bitter coffee without sugar and beautifully presented.Enjoy CDP till it last and have a fruitful meeting or Chai party.Value for money @ 250 * each for any tea or snacks you order from special menu crafted for Chai di party .!!!
It is believed that the Tea drinking originated in Southwest China as a medicinal drink centuries ago, then became a stimulating drink and then onwards it has become a staple beverage in Asian culture. Tea has over hundred plus varieties to choose from Green, Black, White, Oolong,….Generally everybody has different taste buds and particularly for Tea, but in majority people here prefer Tea with lots of milk with ginger, illaychi, tulsi, not me as I always like and have tea with very very less milk and without ginger, …..These days Chefs are doing some great innovations with Tea and coming up with interesting Tea infused drinks. Eros, Nehru Place is celebrating month long CHAI DI PARTY with mouthwatering snacks at their Lounge.GHAR KI CHAI….this ready tea is served with cookies, fan in a nice platter. SAMBHRAM….buttermilk, I found a bit salty, JAMUN THANDA….excellent tea infused, blueberry drink. ALOO MATAR SAMOSA…..perfect crisp samosa beautifully presented with namak para ring. JALEBI KI CHAAT….innovative and delicious with nice presentation. CDP…the snack platter has Bread Roll, Paneer Pakora, Onion Pakora, Mirch pakora….with green chutney.BUN MASKE WALA…..not to be missed, the moist bun with butter served with cream, maple syrup, berries delight. COFFEE BATIDA….a bit bitter coffee with cream, leaves the taste on palate for long, eye catching presentation.Well done team Eros, the Exec Chef Nikhi Rastogi, F & B Manager Umesh Dalal, Harpreet Bakshi, Marketing manager.
Nice location. The Staff at the hotel were very friendly and the hospitality was extended to the bar area as well. However, i was not sure what had happened to the service. Two staff members, three occupied tables and three people at the bar. It seemed impossible to get anyone’s attention and place an order. Hummus arrived 20 mins after we managed to request it. Napkins and cutlery followed. And olives arrived last. Disappointing for a five-star property.
Grey goose vodka. Excellent drink and very refreshing. Has to go down on the rates to attract more crowd. Can be taken with the family. Well located.
Gorgeous decor, Cold ServiceI was smitten by the decor as soon as I entered the bar. It is very Victorian style, very elegant, very beautiful. However the service is exactly opposite to the decor. The bartenders are really slow with the drinks and they actually don’t pay attention to you. Same is the case with snacks. They just don’t want you to eat. Either its a cost cutting technique for parties or something else I don’t know. I had gone there for a dinner party and believe me I had to go to another restaurant for dinner! The rating which I have given is just for the decor. docdivatraveller.com
While having a coffee next door at the tea lounge, I spotted the happy hours ad (which is from 12am to 12 pm – impressive) . I loved the ambiance the place has. It has a rustic glory to it. I sat at the bar, they have good collection of drinks and beers. I ordered a tuborg 1+1 @ 350 (decent price!) The place was completely empty even though it was Sunday afternoon. Its a good place to relax and have a good time. They also have a live counter that opens from 6pm to 10pm every day and for those who want to try their hand at cooking, the chef even lets you have a go at it as well. A special mention to Anuj the bartender, he knew his bar and his drinks well.Would love to visit again.
Went there to attend a corporate meet with cocktail and dinner. Ambience was very good..with ultimate food. I liked Dal makhani and mutton rogan ghost, very much.. And end up with the lovely espresso coffe.
