I have been to this place 3-4 times in total. It is located inside Banga bhawan on Hailey Road. It’s a state canteen and as compared to other state canteens in Delhi, this has a good ambience and is like a proper formal restaurant. On most occasions, I have Mutton and chicken here but since my recent trip to Kolkata, I wanted to try those dishes I loved there. We ordered one Fish paturi( BHETKI PATURI) for starters. The fish was very overpriced and they given only one small piece in one plate. And the taste was also very average. In main course, we had DAAB CHINGRI and steam rice. The daab chingri was very very different from what I had in Kolkata. This was one had a gravy similar to Shahi paneer and didn’t really seem like going with the prawns. And this dish was also quite overpriced. Our total bill for this much food was 1200 bucks which is steep. I do hope they work on providing authentic Bengali food if they want to keep such dishes in their menu.

The place was not cosy enough for a family dinner nor it was clean. Also, many of the items were not available for example Biryani, bhapa maach etc. Need so much of improvement!!
