Not bad, nothing special neither. I had a dinner there one night. Restaurant was almost empty. Most probably it’s anyway mainly for hotel guests.Pasta was good and service too, but as mentioned, nothing special. Price level is anyway close to European level so one could expect higher class.Definitely not a disappointment but hard to give more than 3 stars. delhifoodexplorer.wordpress.com
It is calm and a comfortable type of restaurant. It is an Italian cuisine restaurant so the ambience is also inspired by the Italian Designs. The lighting still needed a little working and could have been a little dimmer. The pasta sauce was aptly thick and tasty and the thin crust pizza was also just amazing. Overall, it was not that much outstanding but not that unsatisfying also.
I had been there by 12 July,2015. It was rainy day and Sunday.. we had enjoyed the Italian food.. it was outstanding.. located in Hans Hotel Fifth Floor. Ambience : 4.5/5 with outstanding view, Almost empty Restaurant.Food Quality 4/5 nomnomdiaries.com
Everything is good need to be better. Ambiance is good. Service should be better. And prices are too high. But you can enjoy very much. It’s my favorites restaurant.
Have been there for my B’day a couple of year ago, with my friends Srajan and Ajit. The place was more or less empty. But the food was damn good. And being a special/buffet or something, it was damn cheap. Like really a bargain. And that in no way reflects in the quality of their pizzas or gnocchi which is amazing.Recommended.
I was not surprised to see no review for this joint as not many are even aware about this place, and thats why I wanted to review it though its been a while since my last visit. According to me its one of the good Italian restaurants right in the heart of Delhi, Connaught place. Caramelo is what I can also call a hidden star. It is located at the Hans hotel which is just near barakhamba road and next to the Abn amro bank which is visible from the main road.Ambience: The restaurant is done up very nicely and has an all white decor which gives the place a very good relaxed lounge like feel, the seating is nice too. I would really recommend this place if its a quiet romantic evening that you are looking for without people around. Service: Why I also like this place is because on my numerous visits, the service has always been good and very courteous but they are not very fast which is still fine. The staff has also gone on to give good suggestions for different courses, mocktails or deserts. Food: This is another high point. Like many Italian joints, the menu is divided into Primi piatti, secondi etc. which means the first course and so on. The bruschettas are something that I always like to have out here as they are toasted to perfection, in Insalata or salads the Caesar salad last time too was very good and tasted fresh. They have good dishes in second course as well like ricottas, Pan fried veggies etc but I have not tried those. Pizzas are super thin and crisp, they have all veggies and quatro fomaggio etc but uou can also have it with the toppings you like, and thats what I do. Pastas like the pesto, and Arabiatta sauce are very good, especially the tomato sauce tastes as if it was made with fresh herbs. In Deserts too they have a good range, tiramisu is a recommendation. Final words: Caramelo is a good joint but management should really start marketing it well acc to me as it has that potential. Even the foreigners and Hotel guests in the Hotel tend to go towards the Kaffa bar/coffee shop more, maybe for the American theme, beers and also Kaffa is in the centre and this is in a corner. But If you are a Food enthusiast who likes to try different places then do go ahead. My experience has been very good.Meal for 2 with drinks would cost around Rs.3000.
