Jamavar has excellent ambience. The food served here is Traditional Indian Cuisine which is very tasty from which we get elsewhere. This is a perfect place for people who love luxury dining with great food. Thanks to Chef laxmi kant to take care of us and for their recommendation.
Jamavar is one of the finest dining restaurant in delhi .. the leela palace is so beautiful with an amazing interior and the staff was also very friendlyI tried many things from their menuStarting with soup i triedMulligatawny soup (their signature soup)Taste 3.5Presentation 5/5After that i tried almost every starter on their menu and i would rate them 5/5Panner tikka was my favorite oneThen coming to their main courseI triedPanner spring onion masalaDaal jamavarNizami tarkari biryaniHandi ki subziTadha dahi ( highly recommend)And one thing i found unique and very tasty was theirMalabari parantha it was soo juicy and softI would rate main course around 4.6/5Overall i would rate this place4.8/5A highly recommend place
Jamavar is one of the finest dining restaurant in Delhi. The Leela Palace itself is a beautiful hotel with royal interiors and friendly staff – everything about this place speaks sophistication to me.I visited Jamavar on a Saturday and had the table reserved a day before to avoid waiting because of the weekend rush. So if you are planning to visit on weekend make sure you book in advance to avoid waiting.Coming over to food (4.8/5) , I ordered :-1. Tandoori Bharwa Broccoli – There were four huge pieces of broccoli filled with corns, carrots and excellent quality cheese. The cheese was to die for honestly.2. Paneer Tikka – Again, four big pieces with a mild marination and a good charred flavor.3. Dal Jamavar – Now, the thing about dals here is that they serve it in a portion size of one small balti ( see pictures for reference) that means one katori basically which is sufficient for one person. In a full portion there are three small baltis. The Dal was PERFECTION. Honestly one of the best Dal I’ve had in a 5 Star hotel. It was buttery and smooth and so full of flavours, I loved it.4. Dal Fry – It’s basically yellow Dal and they use Arhar Dal in this dish. It was very tasty but also quite heavy. When I think of yellow Dal I prefer a light mooeng Dal but this was something different to try and it was very good.5. Amritsayari Aloo Wadiyan – This dish was average not very good but then again not very bad either. The sabzi was a bit runny, it has potential for improvement.6. Breads : (a) Tandoori Roti – It was good and crispy.(B) Lachha Prantha – Yummy, flaky and buttery.(C) Garlic Naan – Good but could be more garlicky, it lacked some flavor.(D) Pudhina Parantha – Instead of using fresh mint leaves they sprinkle the dried ones on a Lachha Parantha. I prefer my Pudhina Parantha to have a fresh mint flavor. So after I finished the meal the chef came over discussed my liking and said they would make it with fresh leaves next time on request as it can be customized according to one’s liking.Although I didn’t like the Pudhina Parantha I really liked the hospitality that the chef actually was concerned enough about me having a good experience that he came over to discuss it and apologized as well.7. Gulab Jamun – Hands down one of the best Gulab Jamun I’ve ever had, not super sugary drowning in sweet but just the right amount of syrup with soft golden ball it was truly perfection.8. Jamavar’s special Mishtan Rose Ice cream – The ice cream had a perfect rose flavor but it had very less sugar which made it feel like it wasn’t even a dessert so if you are looking for a dessert but not too sweet this one’s perfect for you!I didn’t had to pay for desserts as I was unsatisfied with the Pudhina Parantha so it was taken off the bill.I found it a very good and applaudable gesture, there are very few 5 stars in Delhi that would actually do that.Ambience (5/5) – The ambience was perfect with dim lighting and soft music and it was really quite and peaceful as well.Service (5/5) – The waiters were very polite, and asking us in between every course if we need anything else and refilling our glasses without even asking. Also really liked the chef’s gesture as well.Value for money (5/5) – Definitely, it’s value for money with good food, great ambience and excellent service.
The best Fine dining in Delhi and amazing food quality. The staff is extremely nice and offer optimal service. Also price is decent as compared to other restaurants of this category
