We finally made it to OKO last week.I have had OKO food in Both Chandigarh and Bangalore before. Hence the expectations were huge.What we loved:The view of Delhi city from 28th floor of Lalit Hotel is awesome. The ambience where Bar and Teppanyaki section is warm and welcoming. I am curious to know how it’s like over lunch as one could probably see more of Delhi in the day light.Who went: 3 of us.What did we order:Crystal Dimsums: Loved them. They don’t come as a measly portion of 4 (like most 5 stars do), They come as 6 pieces in 1 dish. Sufficient enough for 1 person or easily shareable bw 2-3 people.Taste wise this was bang on. Chilli Edamame: Good appetiser that can be shared.Veg Som Tam Salad: Lovely dish. Once again the quantity is very good. This was very fresh and the sauce was just too delicious.Veg Soba Noodles: Star on our table. I seriously could have eaten 1 more portion of this. This is simple comfort food made well. Kudos to the chef.Veg sushi: This was ok. Could be better.In Desserts, our hostess requested we try Coconut Caramel Custard: 2nd Star on the table. We polished it off. Not too sweet, not too heavy. I will order this again without thinking.My friends had ordered various prawn and salmon dishes. They loved most of them.Oko serves pretty much everything: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, teppanyaki, Sushi etc.. Perfect for groups I say.Service is top notch but then you don’t expect anything less from Lalit. The hostess knew every dish and every ingredient that goes in it.I love it when they know what they are serving.Price wise: At par with other star properties.On a different note: Amazing to see Gender Neutral Washrooms. This is a game changer for hospitality. Sad to see that no one other than lalit is doing this.I cannot wait to come back. have been told their brunches are even better.
