Desi style dhaba situated on shankar road and you wont be disappointed if you expect dhaba style food. Takes less than 15 mins for your order to be placed.Paneer bhrujhi and dal tadka are recommended
The place serves true dhaba food..U can ignore the hygiene because in most mid end. Restaurants also it’s the same.. only thing is there the kitchen is not visible here it’s bang in front..but having said thatFood at unbelievably low prices and great taste..The chef manages to put a great plate of food by mixing the masalas..
Located in shakar road.Very economical.Dine in also.Taste is food. Not very hygiene. It’s better order from this place.Delivery on time.
Pappu Dhaba is decent place to eat.. I would recommend that one should order from there. Economical and food is good. There very less place to sit.
Pappu ka Dhaba is situated in a clustered, dirty by -lane of Shankar Road in Old Rajindernagar. With a seating capacity not exceeding 10-12, this is a cozy little inexpensive Dhaba , surrounded by moderately expensive eating and shopping outlets that gives us a familiar nostalgic feeling of middle class happiness. Yet, affordability cannot be an excuse for unhygienic maintenance and it appears that Pappu Dhaba does not care for it’s customers’ health at all. This is clear from the decaying organic matter from leftover and thrown away food right next to the tandoor used for making rotis and also from the greasy shelves and the crunches of solidified curries from previous servings sticking to the utensils that are used. If, even after the witnessing of all above, there is still some doubt regarding the dhaba’s lack of hygiene, it is definitely removed by the practices and mannerisms of servers and cooks. One can argue that this is the situation in every affordable restaurant in India but it isn’t quite so. Though rare, there are some gems in Delhi who maintain a healthy balance of affordability and cleanliness, but Pappu doesn’t seem to care so why should we!?Though Pappu Dhaba seems to have mastered the boring North Indian way of using butter to make food tasty, they seem to have mastered it well. The dal curries are suitably tasty and paneer items were all oily but tasty. The breads were a pleasant surprise as every type of roti seems to have a homely taste and a rich quality to it, Aloo Chur Chur Naan was my favourite. Being located on the main road and maintaining a cost effective menu, attracts people from wide sections of society to the Dhaba. Women, children, health conscious, rich, super rich and the ultra rich are obviously exceptions who keep places like these far from their nasal indulgences. My view-Pricing- 9/10Taste-7/10Cleanlines-3/10
Dal Makhani. It is extremely thick and tasty. Very heavy and fulfilling. Can be taken by two people. Wonderful crowd with excellent location.
