Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare yourself to dine with the history and indulge in some of the best mughlai food you have ever eaten.A lot has been written about this iconic mughlai restaurant, operational post Independence and it has been said that it was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru and hence the name.Just go with anything on the menu and you will remember the dish for quite some time, they are so good at it. Kameeri roti and mutton korma is so delicious .Seekh kabab are extremly delicious .They have few Varieties in veg too dal fry and Paneer.Place is well organised with good staff
The place is always buzzing with people. Any person who wants to take a Delhi -6 feel should come here for a mealMughlai food that one would relish. Does not have great fine dining siting area but decent and comfortable enough to have a meal with your family.it has 3 floors of siting.We tried nikhari – the lamb was very tender and cooked nicely.Daal fry – to my Suprise the vegetarian was good as well at this placeChicken afghani – it was a bit oily but the taste was finger lickingAnd all this to go with rumali roti and famous big naan I was satisfied with both food and billIt came just about 800 rs for 5 people Normally people only for karims in the area but this is one restaurant also worth trying.Price -5/5Service 4.5/5Food 5/5Ambiance 4/5
We went all jawahar restaurant on my birthday we order chicken biryani, chicken burra , butter chicken, mutton nihari so everything is so good and yummy but biryani is not so good and main thing is so reasonable price
A perfect combination for us was Chicken Changezi with Tandoori Roti. The chicken gravy was spicy and the tandoori roti had a crisp layer on the outside but a tender texture on the inside. The half plate gravy had 8 pieces of chicken.
Al jawahar and Karims are two legendary names in Jama masjid area. This time i decided to try the former and loved their Khameeri roti & mutton korma. Rich and flavourful gravy with tender pieces of mutton. Though the oil content is very high in the dish. Loved it
