Went to try out some fresh beer on tap and on a friend’s recommendation we decided to check out the pint room. Dirty set of narrow stairs lead you up to second floor where this place is located. There were total 5 of us and we were given a table in the corner between these singing teenagers and another couple. It wasnt comfortable and we requested them to join some tables that were vacant or shift us some where else as it was just too uncomfortable. The kept making reasons and surprisingly the place was empty and yet we were not accommodated at any other table. As if they had a full booking for the evening which I highly doubt as the music also turned really weird by the end of the one hour bout we had with this place. Coming to beer, it was decent and they have a handy selection of beers in the menu. The servers however are clueless and have no idea what they are serving stating they were new there. Ok that’s understandable. The other drinks and food however was absolutely the worst ive had anywhere. We ordered some peanut masala and potato wedges with bloody mary and hot tody. The peanuts were ok as well they are peanuts and you cant really go wrong with them but I think these guy can make that happen too, the wedges were really disgusting. Straight cut potatoes DIPPED NOT FRIED in oil and serves without any seasoning, and that too without any dip. On asking the server for sauce or dips she looked at us as if we spoke to her in some foreign language, you know that blank sorta look. We didnt want to make a fuss so seasoned the potatos ourselves and had with ketchup and mustard. We couldnt help it as we were really hungry and to expect them to do something better was like wishful thinking.The bloody mary and tody made us ask for the bill immediately. Firstly, Who serves a bloody mary in a tall cocktail glass?? It tasted like gol gapps pani and Also i highly doubt there was any alcohol in it.(which was a sad selection of vodkas anyway) the tody according to my friend was like , “lemon tea sans the alcohol” and I just didnt have the heart to try it, looking at the shabby way it was served and with that gawdy color. And all this was happening with some weird collection of music playing in the background. Then som e old guy started walking around cleaning the tables, who i guess was the owner and who seemed like he was totally not interested in welcoming people there and just wanted us to leave, and we did, because we did not want to spoil our night because of such downgrade places. i mean what kind of people are visiting such sad places? By the crowd we saw that it was clear. Kids and match makers looking for a cheap drink with nothing to eat. And probably cotton stuffed in their ears. So this is one joint you can all walk by and not even know about it, which is a good thing as you really don’t want to end up in a place that leaves you feeling depressed.
