Zaffran is the urdu colloquial for saffron and when a pinch of saffron is infused in dishes it creates a magic. Zaffran has its multiple outlets in Delhi ncr and alluring it’s clientele with the aromatic culinary.I was thrilled to go to this place as I am an avid lover of chicken tikkas which are marinated nicely and cooked to perfection. Out of all the experiences I had of chicken tikka this one won my heart.Effortlessly forked and melted in mouth it was that good. I had Murgh malai tikka, Murgh hariyali tikka,Murgh lehsuni tikka,Murgh kalimirch tikka , Amritsari Fish tikka and Mutton seekh kebab. All the tikkas were drool worthy. The best was lehsuni and malai. The tikkas impacted us so much that we were almost full but my gluttony forced me to have the main course as well.To my disappointment the Sindhi mutton biryani which I ordered was lacking spices. It was completely bland. Improvisation is certainly required. On the other hand Laal maas was such a bliss. It was so tender that I was able to slide through my spoon without much effort. Pineapple raita was okayish. This place doesnt serve liquor. But they have some nice mocktails for sure. We had Mint chee and Summer hammer from the mocktail portion and Choco oreo shake and Zaffrani thandai . The mocktails were good and so were the shakes.Indian food isn’t complete without Desserts . And if it’s Phirni and Gulab jamun then it’s icing on the cake.Decent ambiance with good service and lip smacking food this place would certainly be a recommendation.
