We did restaurant hopping today at Andaz Hyatt.We had Chinese for starters at Hong Kong club and then came here for Italian main course. We ordered veg all classic pizza and It tasted so amazing. It was melting in the mouth. I had coke with it. The ambience was amazing and so was the service.
We were staying at the hotel for a night, so we decided to head to this place for an evening snack. I absolutely loved the ambience! It was brightly lit and had a very dainty feel to it. To complement the ambience, soothing covers of famous English pop songs were playing in the background. What I liked about their menu was the experimental and innovative take on junk food to make them healthy. We ordered their pizza and called for half-and-half. While one half was Caprese (tomatoes, pesto and burrata cheese, which I initially mistook for egg!), the other half was Levantine (avocado hummus with crispy chickpeas). These are flavours I wouldn’t have imagined to go along with a pizza! But I found the different combination of ingredients and flavours on their dishes to be very interesting. Both the pizza versions are not something that everyone would like, but if you’re an explorer, I’d suggest trying these out! We also ordered their Feta Bowl salad, which tasted great! Their feta cheese was on the saltier side, though that didn’t take away from the overall dish. We finished our meal with a cup of cafe latte and their pastry. Great coffee! The pastry, although good, had us confused. There was no name tag on the pastry kept in glass display. When we asked the staff, they told us that it was pistachio pastry. We were surprised because pistachio based foodstuffs are usually green but this pastry was red. Anyhow, we ordered it. When we tasted, it had a pure raspberry flavour! There was no hint of pistachio at all! We tried to clarify with the staff, but they insisted it was pistachio. In all likelihood the staff was somehow misinformed, because there is no way we would mistake pistachio flavour with raspberry! That said, service was good and staff was polite. Overall, a great experience! I’d rate this place as 4.5!
