If you are an Indian, this restaurant is definitely not for you. Because you get free abusives here even if you request for a mosquito coil. But if you are a foreigner or have white skin, you will be treated fine. The worst of all the restaurants till date- will never ever advice any Indian to visit this restaurant. Pathetic & rude behaviour.
Ambience: 4.5/5Food: 4/5Service: 3.5/5So we were about six people who visited Palolem during the Christmas week. A time when Palolem Beach is fully crowded with tourists. We found this restaurant the very first day because it was very close to our hotel. We liked the food so much that we decided we would come here again and ended up having another dinner and a lunch at the same restaurant during our entire three day trip. Ambience? The restaurant (like many others) have completely borrowed the ambience from the beach. During breakfast and lunch, people prefer sitting under the shed that they have made, which has a very comfortable seating arrangement, on floor with mattresses and also tables and chairs who prefer sitting in a proper dining posture. The aesthetic beauty really adds to it. The best time to go to this place is night time. They set up the tables outside the shed of the restaurant, on the beach. It’s literally on the sand and you would feel your chair getting into the sand a bit too. They have candles set up on the tables. As the night progresses, the waves get stronger and by about 10-11 pm, you can feel yourself sitting and dining just about 15-20 odd metres away from the waves. Food? It’s good. We ordered a variety of things on the menu. Sea Food Pizza (not good), American Choupsey (Exceptionally good), Chicken Sizzler (good once and not so good right half an hour later when we ordered again). Breakfast was good but could have been better. I felt the restaurant had the capability of getting better foodwise but they didn’t care, probably because they get good business anyway. The service? I would say it was okay. We encountered two different servers throughout the three meals. One of them was very friendly, interactive and understanding. The other one was rude and unbelievable. In face the other one ended up arguing with a foreigner for a mistake he did. Overall they aren’t really professionals but guys who take up these jobs during the season. They could both understand Hindi and English. The prices were okay. In comparison to other restaurants on the beach, it was okay (not cheap and definitely not costly) but if you compare to some other restaurant, I would say it was slightly costly but then consider the thought of dining at the beach and it would seem worth it.
