Beautiful ambience , with the sound of water but keep in mind the mosquitoes will bug your life . We did ask for a coil but no use actually and this becomes a hinderance while dining. The atmosphere feels romantic but then the mosquitoes won’t let the romance last for too long. Forget everything, I am here to hog and nothing else. So we ordered for Mocktails – Citrus Fruit Fizz ( 200 )- Apple Basil Mojito ( 200 ) Both the above were fine nothing exceptionally tasty. Food- Beef Coconut Fry – delicately flavoured beef cooked sous vide with fennel , curry leaves and crushed black pepper and coconut , Inspired by the Southern Coast. ( 555) The beef was tender and really scrumptious. Loved it !! Nalli Roghanjosh – this was delicious and flavourful.( 725 ) – The breads weren’t that good as expected.Malabar Parotha – not made authentically at all. Not a good one. ( 255 ) Paratha – A simple one as seen in the pictures and not at all delicious. ( 225 ) Garlic Naan – This was good . ( 175 ) Service – Super Slow , there were hardly any servers around . We literally had to wait for them when we wanted to order for the garlic naan after eating the other breads which took 10 mins of waiting and because of this our Garlic Naan arrived literally after 20-25 mins , which was a disaster because by then our food became cold. We did let the severs and the manager know about this to which they apologised but what’s the use after the damage. Anyways they gave us complimentary desserts to which we refused initially but then we didn’t want to create a scene too , so we accepted it. Both the desserts were a flop show and it was so sad. – Chai Brûlée – Bundi Icecream In short a big thumbs up only for the Beef. Sub Total – 2335 Grand Total – 2893

Let me just start by sharing that the menu contains coastal specials and we filled ourselves on the murgh dakhni and assorted breads (naan) which were quite satisfying the drink we drank was called : kuch nahi which was quite different from my choice of pinacolada or a mojito and I was impressed .. The ambience is very pretty and quaint for a romantic dinner for two or a family crowd .. we got a lovely spot beside a banyan tree and they also offer a private seating for intimate dining experience

Tranquil fine dining set up with some good Goan/English live musicians. We really enjoyed listening to them. Great food and music yes together a lethal combination loved it. The restaurant is located on an elevated platform that spreads naturally around a banyan tree and surrounded by a water body, it features a menu celebrating regional fare from across India and an extensive array of seafood. You can choose from cuisine from the Northern region of the country (Punjab, Rajasthan, Kashmir and Awadhi style), South India (Kerala,Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh), Eastern influences (Assam, Bengal, Orissa), cuisine from Western India (Maharashtra, Gujarat) and our very own Goa. From fresh produce and spices to the serving style is unique to these regions. For starters, we opted for Kashmiri style Jaitooni malai paneer and Goan potato chops. Tamatar aur tulsi ka shorba soup is a must try. For main course we ordered for Sahi Paneer and northern style Kadhi Pakoda. For dessert we loved the baked rasgulla and jalebi rabdi. Delicious meal indeed and stunning ambiance and very attentive staff!!! They serve some good cocktails and the kokum based drink was super awesome. jivewithdeepti.com

An amazing hotel stay experience with Fabulous restaurant and innovative menu. The over all ambience is amazing but definitely not for dinners in summer as it becomes humid in outdoor. Well to improve this ambience they could have used those fans with slight water showers which would had added a little breeze. Food:Being an innovative menu I was expecting a great preparation but was disappointed with the overall feel factor from the food. The flavours were good but there was nothing wow on taste that I was expecting. To accompany the bread preparation was just ok and Again here also i was not big fan. The starters however were amazing and well done bang on taste and loved it. My overall experience was good not wow. Its worth a try though.

Heard a lot about chef Edia at spice studio alila and hence thought of requesting something Goan to eat.One thing about all five stars is that they should cater to the spice requirement of Indian customers and should not keep the spice blonde like they do for foreign tourists.Ordered for basic prawns kishimur and had specially mentioned by that the dish needs to be spicy but was expected it was bland and lacked the authentic Goan flavour. The staff is very Courteous (our baby s requirements for food was well caterer to) and the ambience and place is awesome but food has major space for improvement. Alila you can be one step better than the other five stars if you can improve on this and being goa you should market the local cuisine.

Walk into a very ‘god’s own country restaurant’ with the high wooden roofs and dim lit place with a bar under the tree with hanging shelves and water running around the restaurant. It’s a heaven for a fine dining. From food to ambience to location to staff it’s all a plus. Ok let me take a step back and erase a point from the plus: wines! U can skip that but definitely try there goan potato chops, arbi tuk, black daal, pithod ki sabzi just amazing. For sea food lovers try the crabs in rechdo sauce. And pomfret in tamarind and chilly sauce. It can be sultry in this weather so sit under those fans hung from the wooden ceiling and relish the food while u hear the water flowing.Ambience: 5Location: 5Food: 5Value for money: 4.5
