A fancy little place offering Italian food. Went here for wood fire pizzas. We were also allowed to watch our pizza being baked. We had ordered a Salami Pizza & Spaghetti Carbonara both of which were extremely salty. Upon enquiring they told us that’s how it tastes. But we could taste nothing except salt. It’s on the expensive side so plan your visit. It has an amazing & fancy ambience with wooden chairs, pretty flowers & bright paints (also a dog). It has a store inside from which you can buy cute & chic goodies for yourself or friends. We bought 2 beer mugs.As per food I would not recommend this place based on my experience. Giving it a 2 star only for the ambience.
Come by this restaurant by happenstance and was delighted by the entrance and the pleasant open courtyard. Was warmly greeted by our Italian hostess cum owner. As we were quite hungry we went straight for the focaccia with olive oil and sea salt which was very tasty. (Still dreaming about this) Following this we had a beautifully light crust wood fired margarita pizza and the prosciutto pizza which was perfection. For mains, the lamb chops tasted great but could have been prepared with better butchery skills. The seafood risotto was good although again they could have done better with the presentation as it did look a little like it was sloped on the plate. Finished with a perfectly prepared Tiramisu which your Nona would have made, that topped the evening. All in all, the food tasted great, service could have been a little more attentive (perhaps reviews like this may get this resolved) and the ambience was delightful. Highly recommended.
The Italian TouchBaba’s Wood Cafe as its know in Panjim is actually a wonderful furniture store with a lovely restaurant attached. They have great authentic Italian food with amazing Gelato esp the Hazelnut and Prosecco was just wonderful. For those you like Grappa, they have that too. Wonder Italian wine selection to boot. Well worth it!
