The ambience gives you a good feel.. complete greenery and solace and a peaceful place.. the food wasn’t that great as i was expecting it to be coz i’ve heard alot about the place that was the reason of me visiting it.. especially the desserts were highly disappointing.. i hope i visit again and share a better experience..
This is fairly new if I am not mistaken. Previously there used to be an Italian joint. But boy I am glad that it is now this amazing Asian joint which is a bit rare in Goa. Good Asian food is no easily available in Goa so if you are in mood for some food plate of dimsums and pork belly reman then you must visit the banyan. The ambience is really nice and peaceful and the property allows pet dogs with their owners. The food was really good , it is a bit on the expensive side but I didn’t mind it much and service was super efficient too. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures that day but I promise to visit here again on my next trip and do justice.Ambience – 4/5Service – 4/5Food – 4.5/5Value for money – 4/5
Great Asian food! The khow suey and the ginger tofu was amazing. Their thap Kim krop dessert with water chestnuts and coconut cream is out of this world though!
As soon as i entered The Banyan through its intricately designed doors, I was left awestruck with the beauty of the place.. The ambience with the humongous banyan tree looking over it was a perfect set up for the oriental restaurant. The cocktail i ordered for was one of the best i have ever had! One sip and you can immediately taste the explosion of different flavour on your palette. It was very kind of the steward Milan to explain the dishes on the menu. Was shocked to see my food served on my table within 5 mins from placing the order! I mean these guys can put fast food chains to shame!! 🙂 The food at the banyan is really really really delicious!! enjoyed the prawn and chive dimsums. The green Thai curry is the best i have ever had in Goa. my only let downs were that the portions were a little small and it was a little too expensive. Other than this my time at the banyan was really refreshing and enjoyable!!

The food at the Banyan was amazing. The place has opened recently about 7 months back. We had ordered for chicken gyozo , chicken dimsim and black pepper lamb for starters. The dimsim were amazing. I also liked the taste of black pepper lamb but I felt the quantity should be improvedIn main course we had garlic rice, chicken and Burmese khaosuey. Burmese Khaosuey was amazing and it was the best. The garlic rice also had a great flavour and complimented the chicken.I would like to thank Satish who took great care of us and suggested great food options and also want to thank him for the hospitality.
