Cafe Goa is one of the beach shack in Calangute beach. The view in front of the beach is breath taking! Perfect for sunset and candle light dinner. Music is also great mainly bollywood but became bit boring later. They have a dance floor to bring on your crazy moves. They have wifi facility too.We were here for the rest of the evening as we felt the vibes right along with amazing food. We ordered Goan special King Prawns. The masala was lip smacking good and we couldn’t stop at one but ordered twice! We even had Prawns tandoori & Fish, this was also fresh and had decent flavour. We tried Lobster here, it was the first time for few of us! The plating was beautiful with a small light and showing off some vegetable art. It was perfectly cooked and had a nice blend of masala. But only this costed us 2.8kTo accompany with this food we took a couple of drinks, vodka with fresh orange and pineapple juice. This is the best vodka cocktail I have had because the fruit juices were freshly made. A teetotaler in our gang had some chocolate milkshake kind of Mocktail, it was delicious. The attendants are very friendly and helping for any suggestions you ask and they even allowed us to charge our phone with their charger while some of the cafe refused to do it! But only downside was the pricing, it came upto 14k just for all these.
It is located on Calangute Beach and like all other places there, sitting is in the form of chairs and tables close to the shore.Every table has a small candle placed on it so the overall view is lovely where you see all candles in the dark.We ordered-Kadhai paneerVeg biryaniVeg biryani was good but way too spicy. The paneer was as hard as if it were some rubbery gum! I don’t know what they had used in place of paneer or what kind of paneer it was, it wasn’t really gobbleable.

Cafe Goa is the first shack one encounters while walking along the beach from Baga to Calangute. It was well past 2 AM, the shack was still thriving. We stopped here on account of not wanting to walk any further, more than anything else.It was a short visit. We had a couple of beers, which were pleasantly cheaper-than-average. The masala prawns were also well done and not too expensive. Service is pretty fast. Sitting out on the beach at a candlelit table made Cafe Goa a decent spot to relax after a long night.
Being a beach shack , this place a scenic ocean view. Obviously we preferred outdoor seating and it was good. Coming to the food we ordered a King Fish in Goan Masala (which they over charged like anything ), Calamari grilled sizzler and chicken noodles. Calamari grilled sizzler was their best dish with soft and well cooked calamari. The way they served the sizzler was beautiful. They fired the sizzling plate by pouring some alcohol in it and then once it started sizzling they put it on our table.Rest everything was average and the king fish was pathetic. The fish was not properly deboned and it smelled pathetic. With a lot better shacks and restaurants in Goa, this a place to avoid. 3 points only for its wonderful calamari sizzler.
