Tried out the D’Silvas cafe for lunch.We ordered veg fried rice for my vegetarian friends and chicken soup, Crab Curry, chicken lollypop and Chapati for me and my other friend.The ambience is simple but very satisfying. It is a beach facing shack on Calangute beach. They also have beds with Umbrellas on the sand, which they rent out for 100Rs for an hour and Rs 500 for a longer period.Veg fried rice – Tasted goodChicken soup- First we tried the chicken soup. It was so delicious that me and my friend ordered a second round.Chicken lollypop was decentCrab Curry – During my Goa trip I had been on the lookout for a decently priced crab curry , but found the rates to be super expensive everywhere, due the fact that we went in the summer season , when everything is very pricey. Everywhere the prices were 800- 1200Rs for any crab fish. Here I got the crab curry for Rs 350.The quantity was amazing with a medium (almost big) sized crab. I went for a northern style curry instead of Goan. The taste was amazing and quantity is enough for 2 persons.The only problem I found was that the service is super slow. It was almost an hour after which the crab curry arrived. But it was worth the wait. Still they could improve their service a bit.A good option for people looking to try out decently priced and tasty crab, especially in the peak summer season !
