This Shack at Calangute Beach is a great place to go if you are looking at spending some peaceful time overlooking the beach. I have visited it multiple times on multiple goa trips and it really gives me the Goa feels. The Good: The location of the shack gives great visibility of the beach. It is pretty peaceful during the day and a nice place to chill. The Prawns Chilly, Fish Fingers are yum.The Bad: Expect the service to be a little slow and clumsy.Must Try: Prawn Starters, Fish Fingers, Juices

We visited this place for breakfast. Ordered basic masala omelette and scrambled eggs. What we got was a very flat omelette, toast which felt like it was kept for a bit, and masala papad !! Well, they did replace the papad with scrambled eggs, which had excess oil all over the dish and was sweet in taste. Quite a waste of time and money..

As soon as you enter the beach from holiday street, it is the first shack on the right. The food is nice but a little expensive than other shacks. Try the Goan fish curry and the onion pakodas , the latter are pretty awesome. The service is nice and the shack owner is a pretty cool guy. This is one of the last shacks to close and it may open way into the morning hours if you go during season time. All in all a great place to chill and enjoy yourself. One piece if advice though, the later into the night you stay in the shack, the more fatigue the staff gets. Be nice and take care of your belongings. The staff doesn’t like rude customers late in the night or in the wee hours of the morning.

The best part about this shack is the owner, Derick. A great human being and very helpful in terms of anything and everything. They have also started a guest house which is again very close to the beach and is very reasonable. The food at the shack is awesome! Authentic goan food 🙂 The music he plays suits the atmosphere and also there is a pool table.
