The park calangute hotel has only one in house restaurant called peace. During our recent stay, we had their buffet breakfast daily. The spread is not too wide or fancy, but the dishes are good and most importantly even though it’s buffet, the staff will get whatever you need at your table. You can even eat outside if you want to. I picked the chef’s special on most days and the highlights were – Chilli cheese dosa, chocolate chip pancake, French toast, pizza utappa. We also ordered room service on a couple of occasions. The masala Margherita that was recommended to us was very bland – tasteless. We literally ate it with the help of herbs and ketchup. Then another day we ordered dal makhni and tandoori roti and asked the chef to make it spicy – and so he did. This was very tasty. amjillofalltrades.com

We stayed at the park hotel to which peace restaurant is attached so we naturally ate here a lot. We had breakfast buffet included so had there every morning and a few other meals during our stay. Firstly service was always very attentive and prompt. Most items are served quick. Breakfast buffet is good in range quantity and taste, special mention for their hot fresh poori! We also tried their tasting menu for a special dinner and the pork calzone was a big disappointment. In general their Italian is pretty bad! Most of their Goan stuff is great. Little pricey!
The location and ambience was all good. But the food that we kept on receiving was a bit disappointing. By the time the food reaches us, it was cold. We had to return back the king prawns, pork steak and salmon. Second time round, it was warm and tasted really good. And the second day when we were in the mood to eat Italian and we asked the chef directly if fresh raviolis were available or not and he says yes. Then 15mins later, he comes back and lets us know that it isn’t available. I don’t understand why the chef want aware about what’s available or not!!! Finally we decided upon cannelloni which was prepared really good. Absolutely loved it.
