The name is sai leela which is open 24×7 , that’s why we entered the hotel and had dinner. Then I asked for water,so they provided me chargeable water bottle. And i asked him to give me normal water, they told me they have ruled that only chargeable water will be provided. So i said him this is not fair,so they told me to call my owner, number which is printed on bill. So I called owner personally,he also told me they have the rules and he also disconnected the call before I completed my conversation.Such a rudefull behavior with the customers.I think customer don’t matter for this restaurant. So my personal opinion is ignore this restaurant..
This place was like a savior for us. Being a Maharashtrian, our taste buds are used to for a bit spicy food. Goa really disappointed us with bland taste, less spices. So we were hunting some desi spot who serves spicy food. The uncle at the counter identified our requirements, ordered the cook to make spicy food. Wow we were so happy and the spicy and tasty food just made us feel like home. This spot became our morning breakfast point for next 4 days. Ambiance (3 years ago) was very shady, now they have renovated it and looks wonderful. Though the sitting is still cramped.Food : We tasted the food recently and yes, the taste is somewhat changed, but yes given the price, it is better.
Writing this review because 1st ay in Goa disappointed me with this cafe.we ordered masala dosa and the dosa was not that good.the coconut chutney was as if they have grinded the coconut and put in water, tge sambhar was not viscous and sweet. Tge place was not so hygienically good.i will not recommend anyone.
Avoid under any circumstances. Had the chicken fried rice, was so awful that even the chicken was not washed properly; the stink in the food was so much that had to leave it with 1 bite
Goa -> Day 3 -> BreakfastIt was Last Day in Goa , We check out of Hotel and was looking for a decent place for Breakfast , as it was abit Early most of the Joints were Close , So we came across this Joint , Which was running full fledged , So we Decided to have our Breakfast here.Ambience : It is a Small restaurant on the road that leads to Calangute beach , near the 3 way Junction. It doesn’t have much of a Ambience , Just a crampy seating arrangement & looks like a unkept space when you get inside the Place. Moreover these kind of Joints are not to be Judged on Ambience , but definately the Cleanliness part should be taken care of.We Ordered :Poori BhajiAaloo ParathaPaneer ParathaTea Paratha : Paratha’s Filling was very Bland in Taste & Low on Quantity, Even the Outer Crust was not Crispy as it should be for a proper tasting Paratha.Poori Bhaji : Poori was Decent but the Bhaji served with it was again Bland in taste, I used alot of Salt to finish that Poori along with Tea.Overall Sai Leela’s Food for Me : 2.5*Service : Service was too Slow , Every Dish was Coming one at a time & till the Time next dish came , the First one was all Cold & We have to reminf the Waiter again & again for our Order . iT was again a major Let Down of the Place.*I won’t suggest this place until & unless you are having lack of options, cause the Food was just Average to Taste & you’ve to wait for a long time to get your Meal (which gets irritating)*The Review is based on the Dishes i ve Tried, Cant Comment on other Dishes .*I ve plans to visit it whenever i visit Goa again & explore more food items, so that i can update the review here Accordingly .ThanksSumit Srivastava
On the first day in Goa, we got a rude shock. No liquor shop was open after 9pm, some do illegally though. So we pretty much wasted more time than warranted looking for alcohol that we forgot our dinner. So we found this small place right by the corner. This is on the road that leads to Calangute beach. It is very similar to a fast food joint but just one level above in terms of ambiance. Otherwise food is similar to what you would get in fast food joints. Nevertheless, it was our first day and most of us were quite hungry. So we went in ordered a variety of dishes and waited quite long for the dishes to appear. But once the food came, we wolfed on it. Not that the food was awesome, but we were a pack of hungry wolves. And we were going to party later in the night so had to have some food in the tummy. Nothing home to write about the food. I had a dosa and some paneer starter. As always the non veggies ordered a variety of dishes ranging from chicken starters, rotis, chicken side dishes and even prawn I guess. I was in no mood to take pics, just wanted to eat quickly and leave. Overall, go here if you are in a hurry or lack of options.
