So we walked in with a reservation here expecting a busy Saturday night at 945pm. Out of say, 10 or 14 tables, just one was occupied, that didn’t dent us.But we were not welcomed by the typical HRC experience one is accostomed to. The guy who welcomed us couldn’t accept we had a reservation at Tonic and before even taking the attempt to look at my online reservation voucher he was already insistent on telling us to head to their other restaurant Sessions. Could never understand why? Were we uncool?unworthy?or did he think sessions seemed a better fit for us?God help us know why. But definitely not true to their global motto of ‘love all serve all’. I tried my best until I could convince him to have the patience to go check his system for my reservation. I couldn’t catch his name in the dark from his nameplate otherwise I wouldnt have hesitated to mention it here.So then by now a few of the Tonic staff except the wise guy comes forward and tries to make us welcome and apologizes for any confusion.0Thankfully things didnt go downhill from there. The bbq pork ribs and chicken tenders we ordered were good and drinks were served with much enthusiasm. Would like to mention George here who made us most comfortable. We finished off with New York cheesecake which however could have been improved, perhaps with a better choice of cream cheese.Final word: Do not expect the same hospitality or food standards of the world renowned Hard Rock Cafe one may have experienced as this place can only be seen as another pool side bar you may come across in Goa added with their prejudices for guests.2 stars.

I have been to many HRC outlets. This was the most boring of all. May be because it was a weekday. I was taken aback when I heard that they do not serve starters with drinks after 10:30pm. I haven’t seen a empty HRC before. This place needs more advertising because it is beautiful and they served some great cocktails. Please serve starters or finger food with drinks.

From the elegant lobby, down the flight of steps, past water bodies – it is an expanse of openness. The cabanas and the lounge seating are comfortable, or you can perch yourself on the high chairs and watch the chefs at work. This part of the grill just off the lounge area has cane glass topped tables and chairs with a casual style of dining under an undulating canopy. At night, the flickering candles have a scented aroma that appeals, which gives a cosy feel that envelops you. Coming to the servings, you can relax yourself with a refreshing coriander or lemongrass cooler to beat the heat. This poolside bar is beautiful ! My friends enjoyed some good cocktails ! We had the nachos and they made pasta on social request ! Both were really good. A lil on the expensive side!
