We wanted to have a quick late lunch.Biryani was the obvious choice and we were disappointed.Too greasy,chicken pieces were too salty and riot of spices everywhere.
The Canacona Restaurant is a multicuisine restaurant at The Lalit, Goa. It offers a buffet as well as an A-la- carte option. I had both multiple times during my stay at the hotel. The Breakfast Buffet (5/5) -The layout was fantastic! They had cereal, eggs, cold cuts, fresh juices, live egg counter, a dosa counter and deserts. I had a Masala Omelette with cheese along with pepper sausages and baked potatoes. Along with that i had a fresh carrot and watermelon juice. I also had a Masala Dosa and Puri Aloo, which was amazing. They also had Aloo parathas which were really well made and tasted fantastic along with some butter. In Desserts i had two donuts, chocochip muffin and tea cakes which were good. Dinner Buffet (4/5) – The Dinner Buffet had a layout of dishes of all cuisines. The items to remember were Dal Makhini, Paalak Paneer, Butter chicken, Mutton Masala. Special mention for the Chef who made the tastiest Pasta in Alfredo Sauce. And this blueberry cheesecake was fantastic. A-la-carte -Mutton Roganjosh ,Butter Naan, Goan prawn curry and Rice. Mind Blowing! Just so fantastic, i have no words to describe. Also, special mention to the staff who were always there to help and were super friendly.
Canacona – The Lalit is a multicuisine restaurant with Butfet n Ala carte options available.Breakfast BuffetThe Sausages and Bacon were okay not so well cooked especially the Bacon at live counterLive Counters have decent options like Waffles / Pancakes Dosa n choice of Omelette which are pretty goodToo many vegetarians options were available which was pleasantly surprising for my fellow travellers.The table spacing is pretty poor which makes it hard to walk around for refills. This certainly can be improved.Staff i think is the real turn off at this restaurant.. You expect a lot better at such a propertyLunch/ Dinner BuffetSoups: Same non veg soup for 2 days in a row.. Total No No at such a property.Starters: Too many veg options but hardly any non veg starters which was shockingMain Course: Too many Indian options only available..Service for breads is way too slow and i think they can really do better at this.Crepes were amazing in Dinner.. so yes there are few dishes which are oddly amazing in the buffetIn short there are very few eating options available outside the property which makes them a real monopoly and sadly it is treated as one too
Great food, good variety, both non veg and veg selection was excellent , continental and Indian food was made well. Good spread of desert, overall a good experience .
Lalit is My favourite place in Goai love this resort for its clean beach, it’s gardening,it’s delicious food,it’s staff Canacona is a cofee shop very delicious food whether it’s dal bukhara or mix veg and rogan josh all dishes are good Smiling staff upgrade it always they treat like you’re their favourite guestsबार बार आना चाहूंगा
