Kopi Desa is a small rustic restaurant on the Agonda beach line. We went here for breakfast and ordered and Egg Benedict which was superb and the Muesli that wasn’t actually muesli. It was actually uncooked oat meal. The coffee was average
It’s sort of open cafe , street style seating like French cafe. Something new to see. The music and ambience is all jazzed up. The food taste is good.Friendly and different kind of ambience.
An eclectic bar in Agonda, this one is a favourite among foreigners and Indians alike. They have an excellent cocktail menu with drinks that not only taste great, but are presented beautifully too. Among my favourites are the strawberry daiquiri and mango mojito. The mango mojito’s got fresh mint leaves and sugarcane sticks in it. They have happy hours from 3 pm to 5 pm everyday. From the food menu, I have had their Spring Rolls, Hummus and Pita, Tagliatelle pasta with tomato sauce and the sourdough pizza with mushroom topping. The spring rolls, made with rice paper and fresh veggies are quite like the Vietnamese fresh summer rolls. They are served with a really sharp chilli sauce – be careful with that. The hummus is lovely – has a smooth, creamy texture and a mild, garlicky flavour. The pasta comes with fresh tomato salt – very delicious, but it needs a dash of salt. Same with the sourdough pizza – nice thin crust, great cheese and juicy mushrooms, but it gets better with a sprinkling of salt. They are also known for hosting music nights – Effi Sussman, The Miserable Man and other famous musicians of Agonda play at Kopi Desa regularly. The staff is polite and friendly and the service is fine. Must-visit if you’re in Agonda.
We came here because of reference but this place has horrible service and horrible food. Food quantity and quality is not the same as the rates. The staff drove us out of the place at 9:15pm while we were having dinner because of code of conduct which is at 10pm. No time to finish the food we ordered before 10pm. They expected us to finish our food in 5mins and get out!! Would have given them a negative rating if possible.
Kopi Desa has an interesting menu. I loved the goan chorizo and smoked bbq ribs however the pizzas they served were very bland and their vegan base did not do much to add to the flavour.I would have normally given them a 3 or 3.5 maybe but my rating is 2 because of two basic things which they lacked.1. They accept only cash. No Paytm, no cards, only cash. This is October 2018 not 1990.2. They have dogs roaming around freely in the restaurant. These dogs come and sniff the food at your table and growl at you. When we raised a concern the waiter told us one of the guest brought her dog so they can’t do much. The restaurant should take care about the comfort of all guests but that was not the case here. Also along with this guest’s dog there was a stray dog which kept coming inside. These two dogs had a fight inside the restaurant! For the immense discomfort that I had and because the management did not do anything even after we reported the problem, I’m am giving them one star less.
