Izgara’s USP is the view, which works in its favour and disadvantage, depending on the time you visit the restaurant, cause if you go after sunset, the view doesn’t really matter. We went in at around 9.30 for dinner and the local band was on its last song cause they start around 5.00 pm. We ordered the PANEER TIKKA MASALA it was nothing to write home about. The restaurant and service offer quite an underwhelming feeling, not sure how it is at the time of sundowner. We will skip this one the next time!
It has become a sort of ritual for me to visit Izgara every time I land in Goa. I’m a food fanatic and consistency matters to me the most and Izgara has yet to disappoint me when it comes to delicacies and the ambiance. The consistency of food and beverages is phenomenal. The view is like a cherry on the top. I would highly recommend Izgara to anyone who is looking for amazing Mediterranean delicacies. Yum!
How often do you walk out of a restaurant with a feeling that you could find no fault with any of the dish at the restaurant? Not that often right? Izgara was one such rare place for us. 8 of us decided to try something different and we ended up eating possibly Goa’s best pizza and sizzlers. Whether Mediterranean dishes or the pizzas or the salads – each one was perfect. We kept ordering and yet, quality of food ensured that we weren’t stuffed. Being born and raised in Goa, I can still claim, that this was one of the best meals I had here.Kudos to the staff and the owner, who devoted personal attention. Am I coming back? Oh, I am not just coming back but also spreading a word about this place.
This place was magical!! The quality of food is the highest in Condolim. The bartenders are so attentive and we had the tastiest cocktails, which were custom made after I told them what I liked, and wow they were delicious and fantastic! Every sip was a flavour bomb! I say ditch the shacks and come to this wonderful rooftop place. The shack restaurants felt like a scam as the food prices were high and the neatness and quality of the food were poor. The service too was pathetic in comparison. The hookah was the smoothest we ever had, no scratchy feeling in the throat. Special mention to the wonderful bartenders Abhijit, Suman, Agnu and Arif. These guys will not let you leave without having a great experience. Came here with my husband and best friend Shankar Sivan
Pizza they did not have. Mezze Platter came after half an hour and was horrible. Rest of the food never arrived and then they told us that the something was wrong in the kitchen. Don’t even bother to going here.
The Mediterranean themed food is a solid idea given the lack of places serving such cuisines in Goa. The view is mesmerizing & their service is top-notch. Food is a 5 and service is a 4. Ambiance would be a big 5 for me.
Being a food critic myself, I ordered a baklava only because I knew how difficult it is to make that middle east desert. Baklava has a tendancy to become oversweet no matter how much you try to restrict the sweet flavor with the syrup add-on etc. 30 minutes later, I found myself ordering another one simply because I couldn’t believe I had the best baklava of my life in Goa of all the places in the world.
