Totally worst experience. This is not at Calangute. It’s just located at the entrance of Candolim beach. They could not even serve french fries properly. Cooked in low quality oil and tasted pathetic. We ordered their overpriced baby king fish for Rs.1400. They promised its fresh; but it was not- it tasted like 2 days back and it was deep fried. All their dishes were overpriced and every single dish was below standard . Never ever visit this place.
We visited this place one late evening and sat on the outer table facing the beach.Since we travelled far, we thought of having some hot tea before we ordered. The waiter refused to serve tea and asked us to order something expensive. We don’t drink, so we thought we’d order a cold coffee and some starters. Another waiter came to take our order and asked us to ensure that our bill is minimum ₹500.We were well dressed to even assume that a waiter wearing a worn out hosiery tee and torn half pants would think we were here to save money and leave.The waiters keep hovering around foreign tourists and make them inflate their bills. They don’t care about Indian tourists and take too much time to serve Indian tables than foreign tables..The food we ordered eventually was mediocre, overpriced and absolutely low quality.The waiters were hell bent to ensure we didn’t order anything cheaper on the menu. A 3rd waiter came and told us that the Mixer was spoilt and we couldn’t order any drink which required a mixer (all the drinks that were cheaper) and asked us to take an expensive mocktail instead..If you are an Indian, have dignity and avoid this place which is on the immediate right after you enter Candolim Beach.
I glued myself to this shack for a whole day with both my meals – lunch and dinner. Wonderful place. Just next to Candolim beach with inside and outer seatings. This place had seafood special dishes with wonderful taste of goa! I binged on – 1) Honey chilli potatoes 2) Squids chilly dry masala 3) Crabs Tawa masala 4) Butter garlic lobsters 5) Rechaedo Squids special. All the dishes were fantastic.Andy & Jerry, these 2 boys serve majority of the tables!Must visit!!
Extremely rude behavior of staff and management! They clearly don’t know how to run the business. Their bias towards white people was very evident and they were least bothered to serve Indians. Food quality was pathetic and manager openly admitted that they only entertain customers with heavy pockets. Claudina’s shack adjacent to this place is way friendly and serve better food. They deserve negative rating!!
Now they are in candolim area. Price is very high which is meaningless. Foods are not so tasty. Simple bread butter and eggs they are charging more also I have tasted sea food too. The menu they have shown in Internet is not the actual rate. They are misguiding.
Honestly, the beach saved us from walking out. The fries were absolute rubbish. Bad service. Rude staff. Another saving grace was the beef patty in the burger. Never going back.
Most of the food here is very ordinary. The only thing I enjoyed was the chicken cafferial. Food and alcohol is pretty cheap compared to the other places around. Ambiance is nice and relaxing. I felt the staff was moody sometimes they would treat you really well and at other times they wouldn’t even look at you.
