Ambiance – Above average. People coming in search of drinks png with food will definitely find the ambiance good. Not much complaints. Our order was, Golden fried prawnsHot and sour chicken soupChicken LollipopChicken Fried riceGolden fried prawns were the best and only good item from the lot. 2*s are just for the prawns. All the other items were so bad and made us think that we wasted money and a good dinner opportunity.
Visited Betty’s place today. Even though it was an off season, many tables were occupied. The sevice was prompt and good. The cocktails were good. Didn’t have a main course as such but the starters and desserts were good. Tuna salad had capsicum, onion, boiled potatoes and ofcourse tuna. It had a lime dressing. Paneer tikka was one of the best I have tried in Goa. Had the bebinca with ice cream for dessert. The bebinca slices were nice and warm. A few things were not available probably as it was an off season. Overall a nice experience. The ambience is pretty good as well compared to the other places around.
It was my third visit in 3 years, their levels have fallen to pathetic levels. The quality of food, service, proper crockery was terrible. There was no bread!!
Service was way too slow..Fish fingers were dry. Order garlic naan, it was was hardThough dal will be quick.but I was wrong, they boiled it after ordering I guess, dal was half cooked.Very disappointed.
Very bad experience. The near by Fisherman’s wharf provides very quality food for same rate. Here the food portion is less and the quality too is very bad.
Value food for value money, but one problem very limited choices a little more variety would be appreciated, do try chicken satay a really great thing to order.
On our adventures of searching for new places to drink and dine, we stumbled upon this place. We had heard a lot of positive reviews from our close near and dear ones. The place is situated bang opposite the Holiday Inn Resort. Once we were there, we found the ambience similar to anyother shack and the place had a nice vibe. We started our meal with couple of pints of beer and the spin doctor cocktail (this cocktail was a disaster as the quantity of the liquor was way too much and the liquor content was enough to get us drunk with just one of that cocktail). After which we ordered the veg & prawns stuffed papad (the stuffed papad lacked the presence of any prawns, also there were chunks of veggies which was totally distasteful), chicken satay (the chicken satay was merely rawa fried chicken strips, which was a first for me itself), calamari Masala Fry (the Masala lacked the punch in flavour as it didn’t taste any good at all), finger chips and cheese naan (the finger chips and the Cheese naan was the only saving grace from the food point of view). After having a disastrous meal, we decided to ask for the bill and just leave the restaurant and continue our meal somewhere else. The only other positive was the service, which@ was prompt and courteous. The pricing is reasonable, but the food was a serious let down. I wouldn’t advise anyone to visit the place in the near future.Suprada Gurrala Alvares
