James Cafe Beach But is a well located and built restaurant which offers a semi beach-shack like experience, but not quite. The ambience of the place is great but food is average. We ordered the following1. Chicken Chilly Fry – did not pack a punch and was rather tasteless2. Prawns Chilly Fry – Prawns were cooked well3. Chicken Xacuti – diluted taste4. Chicken Stroganoff – bland, could have been made much better5. Chicken Vindaloo – good6. Pomfret Fry – the only good thing we had here7. Russian Salad – not worth tryingI would recommend to give this place a pass if you haven’t yet tried Robin’s Ark or The Fisherman’s Wharf.

We tried a varieyt of cuisines including north-Indian, Chinese as well as Goan and each dish was great in its own right. Even the LIIT served was one of the best I’ve had.Must-try if you are in this area.
Amazing place to be, 50 meter from beach, live music, amazing food, huge variety of food, we had paneer tikka and to our surprise it was close to authentic taste, we also ordered noodles it also tasted very good. Iced tea was amazing so was virgin moito. Staff is very courteous. Live band was amazing. Thank you for making our dinner amazing.
The ambience was amazing Any time of the day u visit the beach hut ambience will mesmerize you Good backdrop for photography who loves Photography. And Icing on the cake the food and service staff are also maintaining a high standard. Keep up the Good work.Kudos!
A lovely live band when we visited yesterday. Food was good. Service was a bit hasty bcos of a huge crowd incidentally. Beautiful outdoor and indoor setting. Lovely ambience and good food non veg and veg food, Goan and Indian . Tried the batter fried squids, reachad prawns, fish fingers and paneer tikka. Mains was prawn curry , rice, malai kofta , naan, rawa fried fish which was fantastic. Also has a small patio area for dancing.
If one is bored of the slightly more formal setting of Robin’s Ark and wants to try a different place than Mike’s Place then James’ isn’t a bad place at all. Located nearer to the beach, it has outdoor seating as well. Parking for vehicles can be a issue. Also the management has taken to mosquito coils to tackle the menace. One positive aspect is from certain seats, one can see the sunset while the sky changes hues!
Excellent food, great ambience, super service, great music, lovely location. Must visit place in Cavalossim, South Goa. Sizzlers and Steaks are a must do.
