The ambience of this place is amazing. One extra star for that. It’s beautiful and perfect. Mango platter was delicious. The potato wedges were well cooked and yummy. The chocolate milkshake was very nice. Perfect place to visit for a meal by the gorgeous sea and beach.
The resort is kept so well, neat and clean. The mini ponds next to your balcony window are too attractive. Room size is super good. The service is superlative and food is excellent. I was here in back 2013.
So on our first anniversary, I ended up booking a private dinner by the beaxh managed by Susegado. Even though it costed a bomb( hey, YOLO!) I was a little apprehensive but once I saw the set up I was at completely at ease, they did a phenomenal job! So much attention to detail, lip smacking food and world class Leela service. Mr. Vimal outdid himself and the dedicated server ensured we had a good time. The anniversary cake ( authentic Belgian chocolate), the sheesha, the seafood and specially the ambience made the evening worth it!
The place may be good or bad, food may be good or bad, but people are worst, they didn’t allow us to seat with our pet on the beach table also. Not in the inside restaurant, but almost 50 miter distance from the inside restaurant to the beach table. Idiot guys. Check the image where i wanted to seat.
The best place to take you through barbeque best dishes and best is their sea food. Also to mention they have lot of varieties in veg. People there are so humble and so nice and of course the hygiene and the staff is also good.Nice ambience and very good view which accompanied with food.
So, after hearing so much about Susegado, we visited this place at the Leela. And of course, I was expecting to burn a hole in my pocket too :pThe Leela per se is a gorgeous property. The beach is lovely, and the ambience is really what gained the first star. However, things went a little downhill from there. I was only given an option of ‘still’ or ‘sparkling’ water. Going for the still, a bottle of Himalayan water bottle was placed at our table. I called for a mocktail which was supposed to be a ‘Leela Special’. After much scrutiny we ordered for the kebab platter which consisted of 2 pieces of 4 different kinds of kebabs each. Review: 1) The kebabs were nothing mind blowing. Unfortunately, I have to say that I have had much much better kebabs before. And for the price, it definitely was a serious disappointment. 2) The Leela Special mocktail was essentially ‘aamras’ (mango pulp) on top and a dollop of strawberry syrup at the bottom of the cocktail glass. Nothing else. And as is obvious, again a serious disappointment. I mean come on, I’m paying for this! 3) The Himalayan water bottle that was placed at the table since we didn’t have an option of choosing regular water is priced at Rs 59/- at the MRP. But Leela chose to charge me Rs 225/- for that bottle of water. I don’t think I need to say more here. However, the service was good and the server was kind enough to indulge in our mini photography session post dinner, so another star for that. But, overall, it was a huge let down.
