Thalassa is synonymous with the party crowd in Goa. We had been to Goa on a weekend trip recently, and decided to spend our last night here. We reached Thalassa at around 8 in the evening, and were surprised to find the crowd that had already thronged the place. A waiting time of close to an hour ensued, but so lively is the place that we didn’t mind waiting at all. In the meantime, dance performances (claimed to be performed by Greek artists) kept us entertained and engaged. Once we got a table, we opted for a hookah alongwith a round of cocktails. Now the hookah wasn’t like anything I had seen earlier. Replete with 2 tentacle-like pipes and LEDs which kept on changing colour constantly, it actually looked like an alien offspring. Also, the presence of 2 pipes made it more convenient to share it amongst our group of 5. The cocktail, though, was a bit disappointing. I had the Odessey, which is supposedly a Thalassa specialty. Though it was refreshing, it tasted more lime-basil juice than alcohol. Coming to the food, we started off with a round of Lamb Gyros, Chicken Kebab and Garlic Pita. Both the lamb and the chicken preparations were extremely tasty, and though I could have devoured a complete dish myself, the portions were enough for a group of 5. For main course, we decided to share Chicken Mousaka and Sea basa fillet instead of ordering separate items. These weren’t as tasty as the starters; I have had tastier mousaka before. However, they weren’t too bad either, and rounded off our meal nicely. Overall, the food was tasty, the service good, and the ambiance electric. If you’re around Goa, a visit to Thalassa is highly recommended.

Loved the earlier venue and loved this place even better. The service is super and the staff are always serving you with a smile. This place needs no introduction. Everybody who wants to visit Goa, has Thalassa on their to do’ list. I’ve heard at night it’s super but we wanted to visit in the noon cuz it’s the best to experience the scenic beauty during the day. The place is set up beautifully with ‘white’. Make sure you make a reservation if it’s 4 PM onwards so that you aren’t disappointed once you arrive.

The best fine dine place in Goa with a sea view.Totally worth the hype. We loved the vibe! Make sure you book beforehand because the place is always full and sunset is certainly more special! the prices are pretty much within pockets surprisingly and the menu offers Greek cuisine. They should install some mist fans for each table as it gets hot in the afternoon.
