Well, it’s only Tuesday and I’m having some serious vacation withdrawals. So while I’m dying, I thought I’ll share the pain with everyone. This was at @grandhyattgoa where I was sitting next to the pool without a care in the world and sipping on this gorgeous Mint Margarita. And the funniest thing had happened during my stay there. So, after drinking this margarita I wanted to try Feni and the menu had two options, Cashew Feni & Palm Feni. To me, Cashew feni just sounded more interesting and while ordering that the server asked me what would I like as a mixer and well, that time I was going through my whiskey phase and enjoyed my drink with water and ice. So, of course I tell him that I’ll have it with water and ice. On that, he gave me a very amusing look and asked me if I was sure. And of course I was sure. He left and brought back a tray with a shot of my cashew feni and water and ice and (drum rolls) a massive shot of sugar syrup. It was my time to give him that amused look and I did but he seemed to be enjoying it more than me. As he left, I sat up to make my drink. Dropped a couple of ice cubes in my glass, topped it with the Feni shot, gave it a stir and topped it off with water. All set! Then I took a sip and almost spat it out because it is quite strong (and by quite I mean extremely). Then I give that sugar syrup a glance and chuckle in delight of its presence. I wish I could have hugged that waiter if he was anywhere in sight but that would have been highlyyyy inappropriate. So, I pour all the sugar syrup I had and took another sip. Wasn’t bad but I should have definitely ordered another margarita instead of getting too experimental. And of course, I finished my drink like the good girl I am because whatsoever happens,we don’t waste alcohol. Right? …Have you got a similar story? Where getting experimental got you in a fix? With food or drinks or anything else? …Just a self realization, a lot of my stories involve alcohol. Must look into that. The food took time to arrive and one time they forgot to place the order too. Was a let down since it’s situated inside a five star. You can skip the pizza too. Stick to the fantastic and eye catchy drinks.
Good place to grab a drink or coffee sunsent and pool views. The cold coffee was like sugar syrup they provided a replacement but that wasnt good either. Mosquitoes can be bit of an issue once it gets dark.
It’s a great place to sit and catch up with friends, there’s a friendly vibe with upbeat music (everytime that I’ve been). The bar is well stocked, service is a little laid back but it just adds to the whole relaxed atmosphere!
