Their English breakfast had some canned juice, porridge, cheese omlettes, toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs and not so great tea. We also ordered fried bacon on toast.One of the better places on colva. May go
It’s a small-ish place, walking distance from colva beach. They have karaoke nights which are enthusiastically enjoyed by their regulars as well as tourists.It’s a very fun, lively atmosphere with wonderful food for company.Fish caldin (a goan curry similar to thai green curry) was superb. The chicken sizzler could have been better, the chicken was dry although the gravy was really good.One can have any seafood here, and it’ll be cooked perfectly.
I am really surprised to see such a bad rating. I went to this restaurant last night with my family and we had a really good time, all because of the ambience and food. We tried veg fried rice, veg manchurian, egg chicken noodles and everything tasted apt. Great experience and quick service.
It was my wife’s birthday and we were trying to figure out a place to invite the family over for dinner. Goodman’s came to our minds.So, this typically Goan restaurant is located very close to the Colva beach in South Goa.It has been in existence from the time I probably started teething.Food has remained the same throughout. You can mark it average on your list.It gets packed by 9pm because of its proximity to the beach.Well, we ordered for :*Chicken Spring Roll : Not good. The filling had no taste of anything close to oriental.*Frenchies: no one can go wrong with this. This was ok.*HotnSour chicken soup: Was just Soya sauce in cornflour water.*Fish fingers : Made with shark. Had a fishy after taste. The fish wasnt pre marinated for fish fingers.*Fish n Chips : More like Fish Pakora. Just a coat of gramflour and fried.*Chicken Tandoori: Not the usual redish in color. Made pretty well. Chicken was a little dry. Temperature of the tandoor I guess could be the cause of the burnt edges and the dry inner.*Butter Chicken: This was unexpectedly good. I mean after all the disasters in the start, this saved the day. Creamy, perfect sweetness, too much kasuri methi, but was ok.*Garlic Naan : Pretty average.So what I filtered down from all the above is that Goodman’s is better in North Indian food than anything else. However, we have tried the Continental before and that seemed better.
Very bad restaurant would not suggest anyone!! The staff doesn’t know what is available had gone there with my friends at 3:30pm on 10 Feb 2019 they said chicken crispy is available but serverd prawns instead as the rates were high than chicken without informing us. Staff is not polite and have bad attitude and later argue on bill. They are looters in goa. Be safe eat good food and enjoy beauty of Goa!
Bitter disappointment. Food does not go with the ambience of the place. Should concentrate more on the food than the karaoke (tues/fri). Food is absolutely not what you expect. Lasagna here isn’t a lasagna. Fish fingers are thinner than straws. It was a challenge to find the fish in the fish finger. Thank you. Come here only to SLEEP-RAVE-REPEAT, don’t try to EAT here reader.
