We ordered the Thai green curry and fresh garlic butter fried squid. Food was excellent, but I was extremely disappointed with the way service was handled by the wait staff. I found a fly in my sangria, but no steps were taken by them to compensate except a half hearted attempt to replace my drink.
I love this place as it’s one of the peaceful place in south goa. The prices are good but they are worth . I would recommend people to try there Black Russian if you love coffee only *
I stayed in taj exotica for 5 days at the private sunset villa with the plunge pool and while the complimentary breakfast was amazing in taj , we tried the lobster shack for dinner. Its a really nice setting , facing the sea and the service is obviously exemplary. But the good things stop here. The food is really expensive , even for a place like taj , even though i was staying at the most expensive room , the prices felt a tad high! We ordered fresh prawns , butter chicken , dal makhani and cheese garlic naan along with two cocktails. The dal makhani was so watery that we had to return it , the butter chicken was too sweet and both of the dishes cost 1195 excluding taxes . Poor .
This restaurant of Taj Exotica is now called ‘Grill by the Sea’. We went here for our dinner when it was all dark but there was a moonlight as it was a full moon day. So we could see the waves hitting the shore and the mild sound of the same played in the background. Also there was a live mild music at the restaurant that added another color to our dinner. Regarding the food itself, it was the best of the dishes that we ever had. The menu itself is quite limited but whatever’s on that list, is cooked and served to perfection. The staff was also very courteous and polite and ensured we were at ease and enjoying our food whole time we were there. The portions served are quite generous. Food is really really great to taste. Had a really great time with the family. After the dinner we were escorted from the beach side to the reception in a electric buggy. Highly recommend this place to all if budget is not a constraint.
A friend of mine suggested this place to me for their seafood preparations. Therefore I decided to check it out. Oh! By the way, this place is part of Taj Exotica and to reach this place, you will be taken in a golf cart right from the entry of the hotel to the place itself. The ambience of the place on my arrival, was really mind blowing. For my food order, the waiter suggested me to choose my seafood or meat and the preparation I wanted to have it in. So I decided to have the pomfret and squid in Peri peri sauce and prawn in butter garlic. I can say only one thing about the food and i.e. It was flavourful. The service was also good but the only thing that hurt me a bit was the bill. The place is a bit expensive for sure. Even then am sure of visiting this place in the near future.
A wonderful sit down place by the sea.Its really romantic in the evening with a candlelights and a live saxophone band playing old songs.They have a fabulous concept of catch of the day where a variety of seafood such as lobster,squid,fish etc are made according to your taste and the salad and soup bar are on the house with that.
This is one amazing place for seafood at Taj Exotica in South Goa. You get the fresh catch of the day. You need to choose the seafood and the preparation you like. The place is by the beach and has a beautiful ambience. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The only disappointment is that they don’t have much to offer in chicken dishes. The cocktails were amazing too. But get ready to pay a bomb. Pretty expensive and the portions are less.
