Had an absolutely wonderful evening yesterday. The ambience and deco was great.. the live music made the evening even more special..We are*Butter garlic crabs – over priced.. buy yum non the less*Squids in chilli garlic sauce – decent* Rawa Masala fried chonok / sea bass – yumHighly recommend this place.. will definitely be going back especially for the music
Pentagon is the place for nice evenings if you are not much of a foodie and vegetarian of course. We went there on our last evening in goa in September 2019. The ambience is definitely amazing. Nothing better than ample seating space with live music and sometime to dance with your partner. It’s a place for family and friends. However no matter what I say about the amazing the time and evening I had at pentagon the food was average. We ordered spring rolls, veg sizzler, white sauce pasta, banofee pie and sangria. The sangria is the best thing we had in dinning. It wasn’t overtly sweet. Just perfect! But the spring rolls were let down and overtly priced for the quantity served. Sizzler and pasta were average. Had more expectation from what it looked like before eating. Banofee pie to is okayish. They have a lot of scope to match the ambience with the taste of food. However, the environment created is so impacting that the food is last thing on your mind here.
Being Generous . . !We visited on 16 Jul 19. Ordered only Veg – variety of Indian breads, dal makhana, paneer mains etc.Ambience – That’s why the 4 Star ! It’s a lovely open, spaced out place with traditional goan bamboo décor, lots of backyard space, not-too-fancy tables / chairs. Add to it, live one-man band who sang lovely nostalgic numbers in his natural tone, making no effort to add accent. Lighting n over all ambience is perfect for romantic outing.Food – Just about good. Breads were very nice but snazziness (to set it apart) in the overall cuisine was amiss. Dal was tasting standard – don’t expect North Indian top class standard for ‘Dal Makhani’ here . . mocktails were run-a-mill kind .. . Service – Was efficient and with smile. Guys were prompt and even inquired about food. May be the stewards could have been dressed a little more free (than routine shirt & pant) to blend in with over all décor. Place worth another visit definitely.
