Went during Lunch time at Tarshish, newly opened Mughlai Restaurant in The Fern Kadamba. I had Murgh Dum Biryani. Rich in flavours and spices as per Mugulai cuisine and not forgeting the good quantity of meat. Highly recommended.
Pista Halwa – an authentic Mughlai dessert. Definitely a highlight dish at Tarshish. A mouth watering sweet treat garnished with dry fruits.Surely the best pick for people who have a sweet tooth!
This restaurant is situated in fern kadamba on the old Goa bypass road. The only thing that tempted us to visit this place is the word biryani. The ambeince is quite mellow and calm. They played instrumental music which was soothing.Service: I would love to commend the host, sasmita who served us,she was charming and polite. She took care of us gracefully which I seldom notice in any of restaurants around Goa. Even chef jitendar walked up to us to rectify the menu change and recommended us other option as well. Tarshish well done with service point of view. Your team is great.Food: we ordered the paya soup, multani chicken tikka and kacche gosht ki biryani. The paya soup was subtle in taste, not a pinch of extra spice. Moving on to the multani tikka which came in small parcels wrapped in banana leaf which was recommended by the chef was melt in mouth, the tikka was soft and delicious again which I never find in Goa. The biryani was a winner. The fall apart mutton pieces, the rice stood out and well cooked, flavoursome in all.Ambeince:3/5Service: 5/5Food:5/5Looking forward to try the Boti kebab which wasn’t available.
Tarshish is a newly opened restaurant at Kadamba Ferns Hotel serving authentic muglia food at it’s best.We started out with Khadh Batair which is a pair of quails, cured in a herbal marinate with a delicate saffron tint and baked. It was the first time I tried quail and definitely love at first bite.Bharwaan Aloo are potato barrels stuffed with creamed potatoes, pistachio, raisins, pomegranate, coriander and grilled to perfection on the tandoor. A comforting dish so certainly deserved a repeat.Surk boti Kebab was spicy char grilled boneless lamb which was simply tender and delicious.Rasgulle ki sabzi was a burst of sweet and spicy surprise.Kadhai Jhinga and Murg Zaffrani with Aloo Kulcha made the perfect main course.Tried Pishey ka Halwa, Moong aur Akhrot ka Halwa and Rasmalia for dessert.Highly recommend their Thandaai.Definitely going back soon.
This is one of the good restaurants for Mughlai food. I Have tried several restaurants around Panjim area, this is the only one I liked. Tasty food and value for money and reasonable price.
