Located in the heart of the city of Panjim, Black Sheep Bistro is the architect of a truly great culinary experience. It combines the best of cuisine, with the best hospitality in the industry. Everything from the moment you step into this place is a pure ‘wow’ factor. From their extensive menu to their amazing selection of classic wines. From their wacky and delicious cocktails to the look and taste of each and every plate of food that comes out of their kitchen; this place is an absolute winner from all aspects. If you do plan on going here, please do make a reservation because they fill up pretty quick, and of course you’d want to get the perfect seat to take in their quaint looking interiors. We tried the following:1) Drinks- Blush (Mocktail), Thyme to Drink, Janus Brandy, Red Wine Sangria2) Starters- Chilli Tacos, Konkan-style Grilled Chicken Bites3) Mains- Blackened Creole Chicken, Seared Chicken, Chicken + Chorizo, Malwani Mushroom Stroganoff4) Dessert- Chakri ChurrosOur favourites among all the above were both the starters, Creole Chicken, Stroganoff and Churros. The chilli tacos featured three taco shells that werestuffed with chicken in chilli, salsa and crème fraîche and served with a wedge of lemon. Yum! The Konkan bites were recommended to us by our server, Ankit and it surely did not fail to impress us.The Creole is a must try dish. Cut pieces of grilled chicken breast were placed over a bed of seasonal vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes. The chicken was spiced perfectly and the cooking was spot on. The Stroganoff was again recommended by our server. It is just pure happiness on a plate! Instead of mushroom, you can also opt for chicken or prawns. The contrasting temperatures of the hot churros and chilled sauce made a perfect end to a delightful meal.Check out the detailed review on our Instagram page.Part 1: instagram.com/p/B1jUoBujpDKPart 2: instagram.com/p/B1nqps5jwH8Part 3: instagram.com/p/B1tCN4uDSsyPart 4: instagram.com/p/B1x-pnpDOiK
Hard to find anything negative in something when you have a great experience. The food suggested tasted amazing and non-spicy basis our palate. Surprinslgy full at lunch hours on a weekday.Ordered:Plancha- calamari and prawns 4.5/5Peanut crusted seasonal fish 5/5 (the orange sauce was amazing in this )Hainanese chicken rice 5/5 (brilliant flavoured rice with grilled chicken and Thai style sauce which is slightly sweet)The only thing that I would change would be the drink we ordered. Needed more alcohol flavour in it. And the thyme in it was quite sharp that it was hitting the throat at times. (thyme to drink)Definitely worth going for a more fine dining feel kind of food in goa.
Probably the best restaurant in the Latin Quarter of Panjim! Love their use of locally sourced produce, inventive menu and the service is really good too. Enjoyed their Prawns Plancha and their Caramelized Garlic Tart, and of course the churros with dark chocolate dipping sauce. The place fills up very fast during lunch, so it’s hard to get a good place to sit, but the staff do their best to accommodate everyone as much as possible.
A dimly lit, kinda artsy place with a pretty mosaic on the wall of the bistro, an artwork which stands out on the otherwise inconspicuous street. We ordered the crispy prawns with a sweetish garlic aioli, which became the highlight of our dinner.Another starter we ordered was the house recommended chicken wings, which were like average wings you’ll find at any restaurant, if not more underwhelming. For the mains, we picked the blackened Creole chicken and the peanut crusted fish. The chicken was a bit dry for my taste but the fish was excellent. We might have even placed a repeat order if we weren’t quite full by then. Both dishes have accompaniments of mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. But the fish came with a luscious, tangy orange aioli that just elevated the entire fish.We finished our meal with light, fluffy churros with molten chili chocolate. If I were to recommend, I’d say the crispy prawns, the peanut crusted fish and the churros.
It was recommended and we managed to go on a rainy Sunday. Easy to locate. Were made it to sit in the open area, which was pounded by rain and hence couldn’t really enjoy the music and the vibe. We were in hurry as we need to catch up on a walking tour right after. Enjoyed the food, sumptuous portions. Konkam cocktail with fenny is avoidable.
This is an awesome place to visit and have a mouth watering cuisines. Waiters are very courteous and customer friendly. They provide you the perfect service with all sorts of alternatives if you have any food restrictions. Pan Mocktail is “Must Try” for this authentic taste and presentation. Over all experience was good and would recommend the one who always look for new tastes and food freaks.
This place was on my wishlist for a long time and finally made time to go there, the experience was amazing. The food was awesome and so was the service. I loved the Goan sausage with chocolate shavings and the pistachio pannacotta.
