We have been to Kamat several times during the previous Goa visits but this time I felt that the quality earlier was much better.This is a fast food type of vegetarian restaurant located in the city center. Very convenient location with road side parking. Upon entry you have three options the small place on the left the one on the right next to cashier counter and airconditioned hall upstairs. We ordered plain uttapam, fried rice, daal khichdi and tea. Uttapam was just ok, daal khichdi is much better at nearby Rajdhani hotels Nandan restaurant which remain open at night for 30 minutes more after Kamat is closed and the fried rice was close to getting spoiled as per my observation. Tea was nice though. Just outside the shop there is Panvala and he does good business as well. Because of location and fast turnaround Kamat is always crowded throughout the day. Also on display at the entrance are few brightly colored sweet varieties but Big Mishra nearby is a better choice.There are more & more vegetarian options available now in Panjim & Kamat will have to do something better or different to make a mark for repeat customer visits.
