This is undoubtedly the most chilled out place.I have been here in the evening and, damn the interior is really good. The vibe is great too.Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Ask for suggestions, and they will never disappoint you.I had Palak and Cheese momos, suggested by staff itself. I was not sure because ‘palak’, but the moment I ate, I was really impressed. One who can make palak taste so good can do anything. And Serradura! I was not a fan of Serradura until I had one from Rumi!I dont know about lunch but I heard that its really good. Will try that soon.Bonus: They have performances sometimes on weekends. Also Sunday brunch is their speciality. Follow their insta page to stay updated about whats coming up.
Visited Rumi cafe because of the hype this place created. A pretty cafe in the backyard of a house. The place is open for lunch where it serves thalis and for dinner it’s their ala carte menu. However the menu is limited. Quantity and quality of the food is pretty good. Out of all the items, we liked the beef momos the most.
It is a pretty garden restaurant by this Portugese house.I visited this place yesterday, as I heard a lot about their performance arts which is held every weekend. Yesterday was Sufi night. Well, by the time we reached there, the performance already got over.. but we did end up trying some of the food off their menu.We tried out their, Beef Steamed Momos, Chicken Steamed Momos, Palak Paneer Steamed Momos, Fried Tofu and Cheese Fingers.I didn’t really like the momos here as the skin was too thick because of which they weren’t even steamed properly. In chicken momos, the chicken was pretty much over cooked. But, I really liked the Fried Tofu and Cheese Fingers. I cheese was literally dripping out of the crust as you can clearly see in the picture.Overall Rating : 3/5
Loved the Chicken Thali, which had dhal, chicken curry,a spicy tomato chutney, another blander chutney,a fabulous cauliflower potato stirfry, pickle, papad, salad and soft chapatis.A very laid back experience, great for just chilling out too,and savouring being in the midst of nature.Definitely a must visit.
We went for lunch, we had the Thali. We loved it. The Thali is filling and tasty. There are 4-5 components – 1. Rice and Dal – Well cooked Dal with a sufficiently large quantity of Rice2. Tomato Chutney – This spicy condiment added an amazing tingle to the food.3. Vegetables – 2 vegetables that worked well in tandem and created a characterising flavour of the whole meal. 4. Other items – We also got salads and a rawa fry which were all great to savour. The open-air nature of the cafe works really well with the whole hippie small time cafe vibe of the place.
