Didn’t come here to have a lavish meal. I ordered the Chicken Biryani and Chicken Tandoori.Biryani was well prepared with the right amount of spices but could have been less on the ghee/oil as well as on the level of caramelization of the onions over it (that imparted a slight bitter taste to the Biryani).Chicken Tandoori was great for the price(as compared to other restaurants in Panaji). It was marinaded well and had a good smoky taste to it which, perhaps, left the chicken less juicier than I prefer.Service was decent, not great, as there were only a few tables occupied on that day and yet there was a delay in the serving waters (I like to have water served as soon as I’m settled at the table). The ambience isn’t the best and the restaurant seems dull due to the theme(I suppose).Among other things, washrooms are clean, staff is friendly and responsive, and seating is comfortable.
Wasn’t here for a full fledged meal. Had some appetizers starting with Chicken dry roast: A must try. It’s Chicken Cafreal with some tweaks that are definitely working. Coriander chicken : A Sweet-Sour dish with soft boneless chunks of chicken.Bhanu Kebab: Apparently it was one of their specialty but it didn’t quite click. It was more or less bland if not eaten with the chutney. Resembling the malai Kebab but spewing out a bit of cheese (I think) everytime you bite. The last dish was spiced honey Kebab which we didn’t eat because we didn’t order it but it landed on our table and took off after we photographed it.All in all a good place for a meal . Family friendly as well. The lighting didn’t feel good, not sure if it was the dimness or the color temperature. Average ambience. curioustastebud.wordpress.com
Mesmerising ambience. Not too far from panjim city, workshop serves the best fish thalis with fresh choice of fish accompanied by tisryo sukha, squids masala and prawns kismoor and curry. Has a range of liquors. Not to forget their apple chicken. Amazing lollipops you will ever find. Would recommend both this dishes when you visit the place.
Saturday afternoon I visited this place.. I ordered one juice/ Fish thali/ prawns Rawa fry/ Caramel custardOnly caramel custard was upto the mark..Fish thali was tasteless and prawns Rawa fry was pathetic..Prawns was fried with its full shell. I asked the staff y the shell of the prawns isn’t removed.. he told me dat u should tell me dat first sir..I was seriously pissed as he gave me this reason.. which restaurant keep the shell of prawns and fry it..If it’s a special restaurant they should have informed to the customer that v service this in both case. Please improve ur food quality by adding some salt in the thali as well I m just giving 3 star for the ambience and the caramel custard. Please take care friends of small things while ordering
The go to thali in Panaji for me. The quantity is just right to fill your stomach and not to leave you bloated like you usually get with rice. This is the first place ever that I’ve eaten and liked every dish in the Thali. Does get a little crowded in the lunch hour on weekends but didnt have to wait that long for a table.
Workshop 2.0 is more spacious than workshop (betim) and it lives up to the expectations. We tried their Goan grilled chicken, pan tossed prawns , burnt garlic fried rice which we loved the most.
