Palolem Beach was a good two and a half hours journey from our place at Anjuna. We had had a heavy breakfast and set out but I knew that the kids would be jumping in hunger in the next 45 minutes. I kept thinking to myself I wish I had picked some snacks. And Lo behold suddenly I see Simonia’s. I didn’t even know they had a branch. We regularly visit the Simonia’s branch at Mapusa for our fill-up on traditional Goan snacks. And the day we leave to go back to Mumbai a visit to Simonia’s is a necessity.Thankfully Simonia’s at Penha de Franca came to our rescue today.I stocked up on beef and chicken pattices, chicken and veg burgers, mava cupcakes, doce of course for my Lil fellow. They are his favorite. All of it was fresh and we had a super travelling morning. vanmasc.blogspot.com
Awesome bakery serving authentic Goan cuisine. Do try the Batc, Lemon and Chocolate tart and Pinagre. The place, although a bakery, has a seating area where you can enjoy the food. Place is famous among local Goans. Another advantage is that it is on the main road, an added advantage for tourists to visit this place.
Excellent place to taste the real authentic Goan sweet delicacies . Bebinca , Dodol or Dos sure to make your mouth water and ask for more. The Goan snacks are tasty , Staff is good and helpful . Quick service .
The ambience at Simonia’s is very basic. it needs better lighting as the place seems very dark and gloomy. The food is fresh and tasty. Drinks are also pretty decent. would love to see them get some sort of entertainment..
My local Goan friend’s recommendation. Love their aromatic milk coffee along fresh made sandwich. the best place for breakfast in north Goa. I went there continuously during my stay.
Went here to pick up some authentic Goan sweets. Place was crowded with people coming in for last min Christmas shopping. They have an outlet in Mapusa as well that is equally crowded. They have almost all the items needed. We bought everything we could lay eyes on and it was all amazing.Would highly recommend the place to try the Goan sweets.
Typical Goan food with lots of varieties to be offered . Bread options are also good. The pizza based dishes are fulfilling and the quantity is sufficient. The cutlets and filter coffee is also great
