Everything about this place and property is wrong, went for drinks with my friends, cars were taken way before the security gates, we’re asked to go through security which was good, but after us few guests came in a BMW 7 series they we’re let in with out any security check how convienent , when asked no answers came, no surprises there.Went to the restaurant 4-5 waiters were standing and gossiping one came after we asked for otherwise no one bothered, when asked knew nothing abt the drinks or menu to suggest nor about members offers.Location is not great as it’s right behind a busy beach area which was packed when we went in evening and was very loud as well. Hotel is very crowded and lots of kids so lots of noise in that front as well.Service was horrible, staff disinterested ( guys if so much pain leave the job), location average, crowd average.Won’t recommend this place to my enemy, I’m a member with Taj hotels for past 4 years this is by far the worst service iv experienced in this time. Aguada is so much better that this, would never visit again no suggest anyone to go as long as u don’t want to be humiliated with bad service. There is no option of 1/2 star or zero other wise even one is quite a lot.
Pathetic service don’t go here. The staff is rude to the core. We felt really sad and their manager supported their actions. They don’t even listen to you. Had 2 beers and left immediately.
We have come to beach house for ever-famous chef rego’s goanfood. We are heartily greeted by executive chef sahildesai a wizard at foodWe quickly catch up and start-up with chef rego’s most famous Salada italiana:All healthy buffs, this is just not only for u,but each and everyone. This has greenwholesprouts with an amazing tangy dressing, hint of sweetness.Very clean on the palate!Refreshing!Balchaopotatochops:This is true blue goan dish. When it couples as a starter u cant be,but elated. This is vegetarian.Gotcha!Balchao veg,yes thts why he is chef rego. These are crispy on the outside. The outer coating has semolina. The spicy blend inside is mean & good.Paneerjeeremeere:Having paneer soft cubes marinated with cumin and blackpepper. The rich flavour of cumin with a kick of pepper, makes it worth ur while. This has the first extract of coconut milk to lend the subtle sweetnessMushroom coriander:This having its marination in whole coriander seeds, which are dry-roasted then ground with a blend of whole spice mixture and garnished with fresh coriander. This too has first coconutmilk extract Medium-spicy.Not over-powering!Poi:The baked goan bread.Soft,fluffy.Bliss!Balchaonaan:This is lovely just as it is.Sink it in ur mouth by dunking it in on various chutneys laid out.Chutneys:Ginger,apple,tomato,beetroot,pineapple,mint,oniongarlic,sweetmango.These have no added colur. The flavours are exact as their names.Just common seasoning with it.Beautiful!Goandal:Made with whole masoor at the tropical paradise of india.Flavourful, healthy, satisfying all at the same time. The flavours of onion, chilli, gingergarlic are the queens in this dal.Goancurry:The flavours of goan masala in coconut blend beautifully, giving it,its orange hue.Part of day to day meal in goa.The tamarind ball works its magic when it weaves its way into whole coriander, peppercorns, garlic, cumin. This is rich and yet basic.Gorge this with poi or goan rice.Vegxacuti:Delicious spicy coconut based gravy. The blend of whole spices and poppy seeds being the star, makes this dish unique.Medium-spicy.High on flavours.Do understand goan food uses a lot of whole spices which they dry roast and use a mortal pestle for fine-grinding.Bhindidisol:Easy,comfort food at its best. The vinegar gives it,its required edge.Apart from tht the garlic, ginger, greenchilli, onion are all tht is required in this humble dish.Go for it!They play live music in the evenings. The fresh breeze from the sea, just livens u up.PriceFactor:Should u visit?Yes ofcourse! If goan food is what u crave for?If u want true blue authentic goan look no further.Happy Eating!
Very ordinary restaurant. Went here on 10th April after recommendation from front staff on goan cuisine. Chef rego was nowhere to be seen. There were only a few guests in the restaurant. Food was just okay but expensive. Service was good as expected from Taj. Dined at Caravela next evening which was much better than here.
Stunning views and out of this world good! If you come, you must try the paneer tikka masala! The paneer is one of the best I have EVER tasted! We also tried a local curry but with chicken instead of prawns. It was so so good! The coconut flavors were so unique and just awesome. The service was also the best I’ve experienced in India, which is saying a lot. Our server was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
Well being checked in the same hotel Taj holiday Village had chance to visit all the restaurant s there and this was again one good experience. Though the best food is served at Caravelle but it might be a second best for me. Had beer and snack while having fun in pool. Was pleasant experience.
