Great little joint with tasty Goan food. The ambience is simple, like a roadside dhaba, but the food is deceptively good. The Chicken Xacuti was spiced to perfection (I had tears in my eyes by the end of the meal), and the Fried Prawns were juicy and crunchy. The Special Fish Curry Rice meal plate is a good serving portion for one person. I also immensely enjoyed the tissoreo (clams). Would recommend skipping the caramel pudding, which was loaded with way too much sugar.

We had to drive from the Madgaon railway station to our hotel in Panjim. We stopped at this dhaba-like place located on the highway as we were very hungry. We ordered veg and nonveg thalis. The food tasted decent. Not bad. I liked the tangy-spicy kokum curry served with the thali (it was sans coconut milk though). If you’re extremely hungry, you can stop here. It’s an okay place. Don’t keep high expectations though 🙂

I’ve been here twice. Both the times since I was on my way to Margao for some work and wanted to have a quick lunch on the way. It’s very convenient to find since it’s on the highway. They also have their own parking space. The food was just okay and quantity just enough but the seafood is costly here and quantity is less. The crowd is usually men who want to have a drink so ladies avoid this place at night unless you’re in a group. Afternoons it has a mix crowd so it’s okay to go for the ladies. :)I must put in a word for the service. They served us the wrong drink the first time but they were prompt in replacing the drink after being notified. All in all an okay place.

Ended up on this place by force. There was a lot of traffic on the road so we could not reach the usual hang outs. So we had to settle for this place, which was on our way. One good thing is that they have a parking of their own. The order included:Egg Dum BiryaniPrawn MasalaPaneer Tikka MasalaButter RotiThe quantity of the prawn masala was so very less that we had order another plate. Instead of serving PTM, they served us a chicken dish by mistake. Once we brought this to their notice, they were very prompt in changing the same. The dum biryani was good and was served with raita, a first in Goa. The Indian beverages in this place was very cheap. A 60 ml drink of Signature was around Rs 80 if I remember correctly. But the overall ambiance of the place was not good, the lights were kind of shady and the crowd ranged from age old double dates to young drunk turks! Better to skip it and go to the usual suspects!
