One of the best place to have food in Goa!They also have a guest house along with the restaurant. Last March (2018) my wife and I were staying at their guest house. Seeing excellent reviews of the restaurant in trip advisor we tried their food as well and we were simply blown away with the amazing food they serve at Blue Bird.We normally do not repeat a food joint while visiting a place and try to explore as many different food options as we can. But the food at blue bird was so amazing we ended up having 4 meals and one breakfast there in our 4 days’ trip. The place is run by a couple, Antonio and Janet. Mr. Antonio himself personally takes the order from each guests and tries to understand their need. This personal touch sets this place apart.Location: Located close to the Little Vagator/Ozran beach.Ambiance: Homely and tranquil atmosphere. With decent décor.Service: Mr. Antonio’s personal touch makes this place very special. They will make you feel at ease and will try to help you out with your order. Service is quite good.Food: Coming to the main topic, the quality of the ingredients and veggies, pork or sea foods that are served are of best quality and very fresh. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast options are definitely good but not something to die for like the other options. In lunch and dinner Goan, Indian, Italian and continental options are available and we found them equally good (we didn’t try the north Indian food). Below are the few items I feel are must try:Pork Vindaloo: One of best vindaloo I ever had, having the sweet, sour and the spicy flavours.Crab Xacuti: The best.Mackerel Recheado: Very authentic in tasteKing prawn’s okra curry: A very unique preparation, flavourful yet light.Angelina’s favourite seafood pasta: It’s simple the best seafood pasta I ever had.Kingfish butter garlic, try this item with their special jeera alu fry (instead of the usual mashed potato).

We visited Vagator between Nov 14th to Nov 18th , it was a trip with my family , After loads of google check , we freezed on blue bird , This place I would say is the best choice we made . The place has got a homely touch , very simple room but very neatly maintained . The property owners are super friendly people , Antonio and his wife were very courteous and hospitality was amazing. The food needs a special mention The chef is Antonio himself , guess he is blessed , Any dish he served was simply yummm. Our favourites were 1. Blue bird speciality fruit salad 2. Rawa fried fish3. Blue bird specialty chicken sausages , served with chips , fried eggs and salad 4. Fish Vindaloo5. Baingan

Homely atmosphere & fresh food. Authentic Goan cuisine. The Prawns Rachedo was lip smacking. TheFish Xacuti and Chicken Cafreal were also good.

Place: It is located deep down the forests near Anjuna and Vagator Beach. Feel extremely lucky if you can find it. Place looks like dhaba from outside, however interiors are nice. Good seating with open spaces. Drinks: We ordered some beer cans, chocolate shake, watermelon and orange juices. Juices were fresh, beer cans were as usual fine, chocolate shake was as bad as any shake can get. It tasted like bournvita mixed in skimmed milk and some Parle-G crushed into it. Please avoid it and stick to beer.Service: It was poor. We ordered multiple dishes including prawns, pasta, garlic bread, rice and fish gravy & some more. Garlic bread came within 10-15 minutes and then people there just vanished. They came after more than an hour and managed to serve everything else within half an hour.Food: I heard a lot of good things about the food at this place and that it has one of the most authentic Goan food. I did not experience anything of this sort. Only the fried prawns were a saving grace. Apart from that, nothing tasted good. Everthing was bland. Not recommended because (a) Food not upto the mark (b) Place is too far away in the jungles.

It is not easy to find this place, but you will be satisfied with the quality and the taste of food. Food tastes like a homemade from your mom! Really like it!
