The extinct concept of performance cafes in this city is still surviving because of cafes like City Monk. The nominally priced food, huge dining area, comfortable seats and courteous staff makes it a more apt eating destination! Space is filled with books, encouraging people to turn a few pages instead of scrolling through their phones!

An underground cafe on the busy SG Highway is definitely one place to relax. With a comfortable seating options and a very warm decor, i instantly liked this place. There are live performances on the weekends. Everytime I visit city monk, I decide that I’m coming back. I have tried:Cheese balls: They are pretty average tasting starters. I tried them once and didn’t order them after that. Pizza: I’ve tried a few pizzas there, they serve thin crust pizzas but are tasty. You could give them a try. Red sauce pasta: This is one dish I order everytime i go to this cafe because I don’t know why but I simply love it. Along with that, we always have a full non-alcoholic beer pitcher (cranberry flavour). If a little time out is what you need, you need to give this place a try. 🙂
Very Nice Place to sit back and relax. As there is very less crowd in this place on afternoon time including weekend as well, you will enjoy being there. Food Quality and price are good.
All time favourite place to sit down with friends. Everything is perfect the food, ambiance and the staff. The music system is also perfect.
