Turban tadka takes you on a culinary journey to North Western India; reintroducing you to authentic punjabi khana with a modern twist of tadka! Turban tadka manages to still say true to the homely flavours and taste, something which many fusion restaurants fail to do.The feel of the resto is quite cozy, and they do have outdoor sitting as well if you are there for a quick pit stop. And the food is truly good. What we tried was; the fresh lemon mint juice (truly refreshing and yum), the laccha paratha tacos (completely saucy and tangy paneer served on crisy naan tacos) the dum phukt balls (biryani, YES biryani, balled up and served along with a curd dip); this was something I had never tasted before and was very yum. This was followed by a main course which had the Naan pizza (Cripsy buttery naan topped with cheese, and corn), and the fusion sizzler (which was the sizzler version of a punjabi thali; with rice, sabzi and naan, again super yum. Loved the sabzi). Also what I absolutely adored was even though is basically a fusion north indian cuisine restaurant, they still tried to experiment with their plating and came up with such cute instagrammable dishes. Kudos to Chef Neel and his team, you guys are definitely creating a niche for yourselves.

If you love fusion food, this one is for you. They serve north Indian dishes with a twist. The biggest plus point of this restaurant is, that inspite of serving fusion food, they have not ruined the taste of apna Punjabi khana. They have taken care of the taste very well. What we tried :Dum Pukht balls : biryani balls, which were not at all oily and tasted were delicious. They were served with a dip which made the dish taste better.Laccha Paratha tacos : laccha Paratha, served like a taco!It was filled with a red gravy and paneer garnished with veggies. Laccha Paratha, even after a long time was chewable.Naan pizza : now this was my favorite fusion from all the food I tried. Naan turned into a crisssspy pizza base with topping of corn, veggies and cheese. The risky part was the base but they made it so amazingly crispy! Loved it.Fusion sizzler : An Indian Version of sizzler. Jeera rice, sabzi, naan and some veggies on the side and naan on the top. This was like a meal itself. Nice concept and the gravy was delicious.Lemon mint juice : lemon juice, with mint leaves. This cooler was an absolute necessity in this scorching heat and it was made so well. Felt hydrated instantly

Turban Tadka is a place where you get not only our normal punjabi food but they also serve fusion food. They serve both: veg and nonveg.I tried :1) laccha Paratha tacos : I tried the vegetarian one. The laccha Paratha was cooked so well. The filling inside the paratha turned into taco was amazing. They had filled it with paneer in red gravy.2) naan pizza : nice concept, crispy naan used as a base with toppings and cheese is something I would like to have again in my next visit.3) smoked butter chicken : butter chicken needs no introduction but I would like to highlight that the chicken was very soft and well cooked. They also presented it so well. It was smoked with coal. The gravy was flavourful. It is priced moderately and worth visiting!

The food is highly appealing and decorative and lacks taste to a lot of extent. They seriously need to make things simple. The breads are worth applauding. But if you are thinking of a mother’s like simple and touching food then it is not a better place..
