Simply Madras is one of top choice in city for having authentic South Indian food. This place is right below my gym and I have visited this place many times alone, with friends and family. Restaurant is clean and has switchable seating arrangements. (Child seat available!) In this small restaurant only hand wash is available in restaurant, common wash room is available in building. Staff is very helpful, they can make mistake but very adaptive to accept and resolve to customers’ satisfaction level, to name Shersinh & Dilip were exceptional with their services. Overall full-star experience.Recommended to try Rasam Idly, Set Dosa and Curd Rice.Other Recommended South Indian Restaurant for fancy taste are Sainath, Megh Malhar & for authentic taste Madras Cafe.
FIRST – DELIVERY came fast – FOOD came warm – GOOD to both zomato & restaurant , YES it’s simply madras – recipes are bang on – taste & quality GOOD , i ordered Pesarattu – Pongal & kesari , Pesarattu – Good , BUT very small , Pongal – Good , FEEDBACK – add less peppercorn , Kesari – Good , BUT very loose , not proper binding , COMPLAIN – FOOD is costly according to quantity , SAMBAR – too much watery ,VERDICT :- it’s good food both taste & quality , you can try this once.
As onion served in Jain food and what do you expect from customersAs we have control ourself and thrown the food and not claiming refundThis is just ignorence by restaurant people
Surat has only few restaurants which provides authentic south Indian cuisine and this is one of em .My personal favorites are maysore masala dosa, idli sambhar and tomato rice .I Recently tried their adai avial which has unique texture and taste to it. Though a bit pricy, it’s worth it. They take their time to make it and it’s totally fine by me as long as I get this heavenly hot piping items !Highly recommended.
Ambience is good , but taste of Sambhar is not to the mark, sambhar is most important for South Indian food, also cost is too high for idli and Wada
The halwas and the dosas served in this sweet place are a delight for anyone. The aroma of dosas are so good as you enter that you are bound to eat more than you are capable of.Really liked the presentation, service and the food. Special shout out for dosa with korma.Loved it.
