  Located near the Sardar Patel Avenue in Ahmedabad, Loft comes under the Zee5 Loft Franchisee located in other cities like Pune and Kanpur as well. Starting from the decor, staff apparel, and the menu, the Navrangpura outlet resembles lot like the Pune one, except they don’t have, well, you-know-the-thing-banned-in-Gujarat. Anyway, I visited Loft during a sweet November Sunday with a handful around me for company. A pretty straightforward decoration with tables on each sides of a long aisle and could host 50-60 people at a time. There is a lounge spot with the TV set quite close to it, and calls for a good old friends gathering. There is a bookshelf amidst all the tables and posters, and the collection was impressive as well as they had stacked both Mr. Sheldon and Mr. Archer adjacent to each other. I was greeted rather indifferently at first, but it got better afterwards, but I did wish the music was better although bearable. I tend to be extremely particular when it comes to me time, and I wanted to kick it off with a cup of Chamomile Tea; sadly they had run out of it and I had to settle for an Earl Grey instead. I started with a ;BBQ Chicken & Jalapeno Mini Sandwich: Actually I could not resist the idea of having a Danish Puff, but it was unavailable, so I had to make peace with the sandwich. Not an out of the World dish, but was petite and accompanied well with the tea. Masala Pan Seared Fish & Chips: I took offense to their nomenclature, as the dish was anything but Fish & Chips, but apart from that it was one of the best fish items I have tried in Gujarat and at such a reasonable price. The masala was more Pudina and Coriander infused in Indian Spices, and fish was fresh and delicious. The quantity was handful as well, and they could have easily included it in the mains section. Spaghetti Bolognese: They didn’t have lamb so I had to settle for Mutton, but it was by no means a bad settlement. The Spaghetti was simply tossed in loads of Garlic and Oregano or Pepper, I believe. The minced mutton was extremely well tossed in the bolognese sauce, and by the end of it I had ran out of space and breath, as it was a little spicy, but overall, delectable! Blueberry Muffin: Full yet not finished, I had to end it on a sweet note, so I wrestled my way through a neat little blueberry muffin, which was soft and tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary.The laid back atmosphere with posters asking you to get out and explore the World, and a well prepared menu with a laudable beverage section makes Loft a must visit. The place is extremely date-friendly at a reasonable price. My bill had amounted to 969 and I had to take a few minutes before resuming my Ahmedabad visit again.
