Few can master the art of cooking Bhakri, they surely did it. Kadhi is also top notch. Overall their food is authentically Gujarati. Akshar has been one of the regular Restaurant (More over Dinning Hall) for Me since last many years.I’m visiting this place since my college time mostly for Dinner only. I like this place for their Usual Kathiyawadi Food Preparations. Their food is a little oily but tastes great.One can go for their fix platters/dishes also here. An economy restaurant at this locality. Food tatse is good and cost is pocket-friendly.
Going to this place for over a decade. The taste and quality of the food has remained the same all this years which is very homely yet tasty. Their melt in mouth bhakhri, khichdi, kadi and Gujarati household sabjis are must try here. I personally love their bhakhri and papdi ringan sabji (which is available only during winter)
Food quality & quantity is ok, man power management & operations are too much poor. Always order is replace with some other one person or some other items.
The service is very bad if one goes there at odd hours. It is a bhojanalaya still the food is not that cheap. There is not much variety available. We ordered 2 Gujarati thalis, a Punjabi Sabzi and roti and it’s speciality Khichdi-kadhi. The food was good. But the ambience was very poor and bad. Waiters are not serious and keep on talking at high volume among themselves. Place is also not clean. I don’t recommend this place at all. Recommend to only visit here for their authentic Khichdi-kadhi. One can visit other restaurants which provide better service at same price.
Price is less and quantity served is enough for the price also taste was good which was unexpected. Ordered veg Khichdi and Kadhi. I thought khichadi will be watery for the price, but I was wrong. Good place to have wholesome food. Still prefer parcel than sitting there.
