Abhilasha is an age old name in restaurant business in Ahmedabad. The place has been serving Punjabi food to the city since decades and used to be one of the most popular restaurants in town. Having food here not only reminds of fond memories but also gets nostalgic. It was because of the very reason we decided to try out its food after a decade. We opted for a few Soups, starters and Biryani. Unfortunately none of the food items were upto the mark. Biryani was too spicy even to try. Soups had a really awkward taste and color. Paneer tikka dry and spring roll were the only saviour, though it were not perfect. Unfortunately our desire to try something nostalgic let to sheer disappointment.Ps: None of the items were Pic worthy.

I wish I could be polite and not harsh for this place but it’s really not so nice place.Tables kept so close, you’ll feel like the person on the next table can easily take your food. :pThis one is the last restaurant I’d prefer to go..Oil was floating on the manchow soup, looked like it is made using the oil they used for cooking pervious 10 dishes.No napkins were provided.Punjabi food is nice.. Hospitality is 0 though.
I ordered veg Biriyani and it was pathetic. They add unnecessary amount of chilli powder and other spices. had to throw away the food. Would never recommend this place.
