Ambience- ok Staff – good Food – ok Quantity- too less Quality- ok I ordered CHICKEN KHOW SUEY and CHICKEN RISSOTO BOWL. Quantity was too less for 450 bucks! Are you kidding me!Taste was good but the quantity for the price was too low. I hope they work on this point.
Heard that Cafe Soul Square has a cozy restaurant on their first floor. Since I quite enjoyed Cafe Soul Square’s food, decided to drop in.The ambience is indeed cozy and interior very pleasing. The menu is quite limited which is a plus point and pricing is adequate.Tried a number of items like:- Burmese Khao suey: A tad spicy, this was really good and quantity totally perfect.- Three Cheese Asparagus Fondue: served with bread crumbs and crackers, this was quite delicious.- Three Cheese Risotto bowl: this one was best of all. With enough quantity and a right balanced taste, this is highly recommended over here.- Lemon Cheesecake and Oreo Cheesecake: the cheesecakes were a total treat! The restaurant is not in a limelight and it definitely deserves one. Request the management to add a bigger board and advertise a little.
This place is designed in a very thoughtful manner and the interior is simple but gives peaceful vibes. This is located on the first floor of soul square cafe. The good part is they have very limited menu with good quality and quantity. We tried here; Three cheese asparagus fondue – cheese sauce was served in bread bowl along with that crackers and potato wedges. This was really tasty and yummy for cheese lovers must try. khou suey – This was served in a good quantity but i found it was very spicy and coconut flavour was very less in it. The taste and texture were perfect.! 3 cheese risotto bowl – Brown rice were used in it and perfectly cooked. Again cheesy and taste was yummy..! little on a bland side. lemon cheesecake and chocolate tiramisu cheesecake- Bith the cheesecakes were so fresh and damn yummy. I loved both the flavours. In ahmedabad hardly we get good cheesecake but this place made it amazing. Highly recommended tiramisu chocolate cheesecake.!!!!This place is a really good option to have healthy and delicious food..! Limited menu with good quality food..!!
First things first, my rating is 3.5.Who would have known that this place exists on top of Cafe Soul Square. With a rather cosy ambiance and setting, this is a rather nice place to be in. Talking about the food, the menu is very limited that may make one assume that the food would be pretty good overall. While the overall taste was quite decent, i found several things amiss. To begin with, the only meat they serve in the non-vegetarian menu is Chicken. For the first time in my life I ate Laas Maas with ‘Chicken’. Whilst i am not being particularly fussy, it felt a tad dull in terms of the overall flavor. Next up were the bowls, which are large enough to feed two.The Kung Pao with Chicken was the first to arrive. I feel they could have done a better job in terms of making it a bit more saucier because it felt pretty dry to me. The missing sauce would have definitely given it some extra flavor. The 3 Cheese Risotto Bowl was probably my favorite. Amply creamy and cheesy! The Khow Suey with Chicken was another dish I was looking forward to. While it tasted good, the spice level was a bit too much and this was felt by everyone. The Cheese Fondue with assortments was pretty decent as well.To sum it up, a Lemon Glaze Cheesecake and an Oreo Mousse Cake were called for. The former was forgettable, pretty standard whilst the latter was definitely much, much better. All in all, their portion sizes are a complete value for money. However, a couple of variations here & there would enhance the experience along with the addition of mutton and prawns, something more than just ‘chicken’.
This cafe is a hidden gem located on the first floor above soul square. The visibility is an issue so most of the people are unaware about this cafe. The menu is very limited and they offer international cuisine. The interior is very pleasing and the seating is quite cozy. We tried the burmese khao suey bowl which was delicious as all the ingredients were present in an adequate proportion. Kung pao rice bowl is another dish that is worth trying here. Risotto in white sauce was a little bland so i felt addition of spices could improve the taste. The cheese fondue is very basic here. The portion size of all the dishes is pretty good. So this cafe is worth visiting if you wish to try some global dishes and feel relaxed away from the hustle bustle of the city.
It’s a sort of hidden discovery on the first floor of cafe soul square, having a short and a global menu as the name suggests. The ambience is elegant and cozy, could brighten it a bit. Coming to the food, we tried the following:Three cheese asparagus fondue:It was a pretty good starter with the cheese having a delicious flavor to it along with the spicy wedges and crackers. Chicken Laal Maas tacos:Not your regular tacos as it had Laal Maas style chopped chicken with a some veggies, could’ve been more texture or juicer with some beans or a sauce.Kung pao rice bowl:chicken, some veggies and peanuts which gave it the much needed crunch along with a generous portion of brown rice, it’s a perfect mains dish, and it tasted really good but even this one needed a bit of more sauce to bind it all together. Khou suey:Now a lot of places serve this and it tasted different everywhere as they try to add their own flavor to it. Here the soup and noodles were perfectly in symphony but the addition of green chilies overpowered the coconut flavor, but it can be altered according to your wish. 3 cheese risotto bowl:An Italian classic, the rice was perfectly cooked and infused with the cheese flavor, the chicken was tender and served with bread, a simple dish yet quite hard to execute it so well Lemon cheesecake: A simple cheesecake with lemon jam on top, it was really light and lacked some creaminess.Oreo tiramisu cheesecake:This was the best part of the meal, it tasted so good that we finished two even after being really full. The base was also quite unique. Overall, the food was really good and some tiny alterations could take it to another level. The menu is perfect for veg and non veg and both the options were amazing.
Located on the first floor of a residential bunglow, sholeh is an unit of Cafe sole square and located just above the main cafe. The interiors are rustic and give a historic feel. The ambience and lighting feels pretty soft yet vibrant. Locating the place amidst tiny streets and getting a parking space can get challenging at times. The menu is pretty limited with not much variety to offer and going in group can lead to ordering almost all items, which we did.On the vegeterian piece we tried :3 Cheese Asparagus Fondue : Different from the regular ones, this one was served in a bread bowl and cheese was piping hot. The added crusts of bread made the cheese feel really thick and also get a great taste. Prices reasonably, this one was a must try here 4.5/5Kung pao rice bowl : This one was from the bowl meals. Enough in quantity, this one was a bit dry. With a balanced gravy this one can surely serve two persons – 4/53 Chees risotto : This one had a perfect balance of rice and cheese – 4/5Khao suey bowl : This one had pretty mild flavor of coconut. Caters well to those who do not like much coconut. Pretty decent in taste – 3/5Tiramisu / Lemon glaze cheese cake : One of the few places serving really good cheese cakes. Both the cakes were really soft and cheesy – 4/5Overall this is an unexplored place and really caters well to people who want to have some quality food without much rush. The pricing is reasonable for the quantity offered. Zomato gold makes is a hell of a deal. The service is really prompt.
